RotoGuru/DBD MLB DFS data file for 2018: general format of access URL: http://rotoguru1.com/cgi-bin/mlb-dbd-2018.pl? By default, all historical data for the full 2018 season - including postseason - will be produced. To specify a start date, append &start=YYYYMMDD to the URL To specify an end date, append &end=YYYYMMDD to the URL In addition, DFS salary and position data will be provided for the current day. This will automatically include all players currently on a scheduled team's 40-man roster. To exclude these current day player listings, specify an end date of the previous day. By default, one line of data will be produced for each player for each game - including pitchers - in the starting lineup. You have the option to also include the following categories: 1. Non-starting hitters who appeared in the game 2. Non-starting pitchers who appeared in the game 3. Hitters who were on an active (25-man) roster for the game but did not play Here are the codes for the various options: option 0: include only hitters and pitchers in the starting lineup (default option) option 1: include all starters, plus all non-starting hitters who appeared in a game option 2: include all hitters and pitchers who appeared in a game option 3: include all of the above, plus active hitters who did not appear in a game To select one of these options, append &incl=N to the URL, where N is the option # listed above So, if you want only regular season games through 4-5-18, including only players who started, the URL is: http://rotoguru1.com/cgi-bin/mlb-dbd-2018.pl?end=20180405&incl=0 Note that if you do not provide a value for incl, the default value of zero (starters only) is assumed. To conform with standard rules for DFS contests, stats for suspended games are included only to the moment of suspension. Stats for the (future) completion of the game are excluded. You can copy/paste the data into an excel spreadsheet, then select Data->Text to columns->Delimited->Other : (colon)->Finish to parse the data into columns.
