It got off to shaky start however, as I removed my new find from the shelf of my liquor establishment, blew off the dust, tragically a bottle jettisoned from the taped together six pack, and to my horror shattered about the floor. Writhing in pain not from the glass that had cut my toe, but from the realization that this was the last six of Sparkling Ale in the store, a clean up in aisle 5 was quickly dispatched. Only the blissful buzz of the remaing Ale and Extra Stout which I was able to purchase eased the traumatic episode I had endured over the long holiday weekend. Oh well the search now continues for a new liquor establishment which is Coopers friendly. Good luck lady and gentlemen. | ||||||

Perl, the epic tale of your holiday weekend's start originally had me fearing for your mental fitness, but the happy ending eased my mind. I would suggest , though, that you may be entitled to compensation for your injury, and of course for the scarring that will no doubt occur. (at least that's what I learned last night from some very professional looking lawyer on late night tv). Don't delay. There are time limits.
Now I'm gonna call Ms. Pez and see about her picks for this week, despite knowing that she is on the edge of hysteria due to the wedding next week. Maybe it will take her mind off it for a few minutes. Maybe she'll snap. Wish me luck. | |||||

I'll just go ahead and put mine in first;
Bombers-they treat the Dockers like Pearl Harbor. Crows-after losing to the Saints the Cats may never recover. Demons-take the over. Roos-Carey dominates. Saints-of course the first time I pick them, they'll probably get killed. Doggies-sorry, Frank. Blues-it's the Dons and Blues for the championship. Lions-this keeps the Lions safe in the top eight for at least one more week. Have a great weekend. Good luck, all! | |||||

Frank, the WaB thing really took off. He got caught, and since he hasn't been nice in the past people are letting them have it, particularly the newbies. I think he dug his own grave, frankly (no offense) but I hope he comes out of this a nicer poster.

Perm Dude, I hope that Wab learns from this little soap opera. I think it's ok to post a certain way, as long as everyone knows your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek. I also agree with you re. the chat room, I'm not sure elitist is the right word but it seems to fit.
I took a beating last hockey season for a post regarding Ray Carruth and the Islanders but it seems the hockey members are able to sort things out without resorting to personal attacks and forgetting their combined sense of humor and the fact that people always see things differently. I shudder to think what some of the baseball posters would think of the style and language of the posts here in the EFF. Rugg if you send me the pics, I'll post them for you, as soon as I'm finished with the good ones. :-) | |||||
