I just wanted to say how much fun it has been since this forum opened up, and also to apologise for the lack of involvement in the AFL game. I should have done a bit more research into the game before bringing it to Rotoguru. As fantasy sports game players, I believe that we look for more in a game than setting a squad and then having little more involvement for the rest of the season. I will be searching for a game which will allow us to use our skills as managers and have a more 'hands-on' approach to our teams. One game is available to Australians but it is not on the net, as yet.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the tipping comp and the friendships I have made through this forum and friendships which have continued from hockey season, but have been frustrated by the AFL game.
I know guys like deepsnapper and Imbrewski keep an eye on the forum and have entered late start teams, but don't post very often, probably due to the lack of action within the game play.
As I said, I will be searching for a better game( or e-mailing AFL.com with some suggested improvements) to keep us busy next season and thanks to everyone for the fun season.

Is this the first year for AFL to have a game? I'd imagine that they must get very little traffic to the fantasy site after the season begins. I'm sure that given their server problems anything which reduces server stress is looked upon kindly, but they have to institute trades into the game. Particularly for those of us trying to learn the game from scratch.

Frank,
You have done all you could to bring the AFL to us, if FOX would pull their heads out of their arses we could see some games in the US.

I agree with Perm Dude, we need some trades to make Aussie Rules more interesting.

I think in the short term we need an EFF Hockey division, it's only a few months away, and I have heard through the grapevine that PD will return to the game after a year hiatus.

Peace, and may your coldies be cold and your esky be always full and choon will be plentiful and the Ducks won't suck.

Frank, this has been lots of fun, regardless of the obvious need for trades in the league . Perhaps we could request that in large numbers. Maybe AFL.com would make the change. It would be great and make things much more competitive. Unfortunately, we Yanks who picked a team at the start didn't know what the he!! we were doing and there is no way to catch up. Either way it has been a blast, and I look forward to the EFF hockey division's dominance in the upcoming season!
