UHHMM, move over rugg, I have joined you with the grand tipping total of 1. God love Port! I guess we're really showing the Aussies on this board a thing or two about tipping. I blame the News 7 anlysis I''ve been relying on, they gave me that great scoop on the Freemantle upset. The other downer was finding out Cummings, Comporeale, and Koutifides all sat out last round, AARGH. So sorry rugg, but there's no room for charity with my 1 this week,your plea on behalf of Ms. Pez for the Carlton point after Perling in my opinion should be denied. I understand your crankiness regarding Ms. Pez getting credit for the Blues tip, seeing as our picks were equally as stunning this week. I question if your opinion would be different if you had seven right instead of seven wrong, though. I only said she could get the tip because she is the only one of us who doesn't even know how to access the site to check a score ahead of time. She chose the Blues despite my suggestion (alas a crappy one) to tip the Dons. I will abide by Frank's ruling, as he is the final say. I already told Ms. Pez that the decision is still pending. She knows Frank is the judge of all 'perls'. | |||||

After retiring to my chambers to consider all the evidence presented to me, I have come up with the following decisions. 1. Ms Pez recieves the point for her Carlton tip. 2. All those who failed to put in tips will no longer receive the 'away' teams as their tips. I have worked out an average of the scores obtained by the eligible tipsters and the absent tipsters will receive this score or the 'away' teams score, which ever is LESS. 3.I believe three absentees in a row is enough to be given zero points there after. I need a vote on this one. As we like to say down here, 'what a week in football'. The Bombers floundered against an undermanned Carlton and gave Big Jack plenty to get drunk about, Port proved they are a contender this year, Hatter's beloved Eagles shocked the world by winning a game, The Beezer topped all tipsters and Rugg and edperl proved that science and education count for nothing when it comes to tipping. Wow! Kind of a brutal week all around. That's good. I don't want to have to make too much of a miraculous comeback later in the season. ;-) Maybe if I try to pick the losers I'll actually do better. | |||||
