Since the little lady and I will be somewhere around Cozumel, Mexico next week when we would normally make our picks, I will just get them in now. This way you all have a whole week to analyze and figure out why my tips are the Great Eight.:)
Ms. Pez: Roos Saints Eagles Hawks Lions Port Tigers Dockers
Now the correct eight:
Blues Pies Doggies Bombers-This should be a great game! Lions Port! Port! Port! Tigers-strong comeback from bad loss. Swans
Assuming that each of us is still alive in the last man standing contest, Ms. Pez's top tip is Port, and mine is the Dogs.
I count eight picks for each of us, so P Tiger will have to pick on someone else this week. ;-)
Have a great week, everyone! |

Just a word of warning for all tipsters. Port Adelaide captain, Mathew Primus, has a knee injury and will miss the next three games. Primus has been the most influential ruckman this year and will be a HUGE loss for the Power. Please take this into consideration when making your tips for Port games.

Beezer's right, put me down for Collingwood times two.
And is it me, or does the official AFL site offer the same slowness with none of the information from last year? Used to be you could click on teams right on the tipping page to get prior results, records, and updates, but now you have to root around in another window.
Here are the winning tips:
Carlton (my Roo fixation is now over, doctor) Collingwood (good to see the 'aints with 2 wins, and it'll be good to see them with 2 wins next week, too). Adelaide (best match of the week) Essendon (win it for the ass! Quote of the week, from Oz Tips: "Essendon captain James Hird was last night ruled out of Saturday’s blockbuster clash with Hawthorn after breaking down at training. Hird has been battling a buttock injury since the third quarter of Sunday’s win over Melbourne.") Bulldogs Tempted to try the Eagles this week, but at a neutral site the Bulldogs should bark Sydney (in a game no one will watch...) Port! (stunning win, on pure adreneline) Richmond
Here in the States we call a "buttock injury" "Coach" but maybe it's just a cultural thing.

I installed my new power supply without electrocuting myself and everything is working well. The joker at the local repair shop said I needed a new motherboard - wrong!
Anyhow, here are my belated tips: Collingwood Bulldogs Essendon Lions Port Richmond Sydney
Sorry to let the Roo's loss go, but late is late. Hope you will accept these seven.

Well, my seven correct picks should move me up the ladder this week.
Great job, Port! They didn't have the big offense, but a great defensive game carried them to victory. "Defense wins games" holds true for footy, as well, it seems!

Great job, Port! Frank p, it looks like praying to Minnie Driver is more effective than I thought. Might have to try on some more local teams this week. :)

Congratulations to the Lucky Seven's: Perm Dude, Brew, and Frank p. Long live the King, Steven that is, of the Cats; I tuned in as the Fourth quarter was about to begin, and things were dead even when the man among boys stepped to the fore. What a performance, he took total control of the game with courageous marks, and accurate goal kicking, in the aftermath, the Tigers were history, as was the Perfect Eight for my good friends Perm Dude and Frank p. So I live to fight another day.
