Round 13 Friday June 29 Lions v Hawks at Gabba
Saturday June 30 Blues v Bulldogs at Optus Oval Bombers v Dockers at Colonial Stadium Kangaroos v Power at Manuka Oval Crows v Magpies at Football Park
Sunday July 1 Saints v Tigers at Colonial Stadium Swans v Cats at SCG Eagles v Demons at Subiaco
This weeks story of interest: COLLINGWOOD Heath Scotland and Ben Kinnear spent several hours in a Melbourne lock-up in the wee hours of Sunday morning after a cab they hailed took them there. The club is investigating the matter but believes that they nor their girlfriends and another companion were drunk. There were no allegations by the cabbie of threatening or abusive behavior. The club is also concerned over the fact that 20 year old Scotland was locked in a cell with two other offenders and witnessed one attack the other. They are very concerned that he was placed in such a dangerous situation. Kinnear was locked in an adjacent cell. The club will also speak to others who might have been with the two players on the night to confirm that they were not misbehaving in any way. According to football manager Neil Balme, the pair were not intoxicated, but merely out very late. The incident occurred at about 5 AM.
Frank p, Hatters, please explain: Can a cab take you directly to jail if you're drunk and obnoxious? I thought the prudent thing to do would be to take a cab, and not drive yourself. And if the lads were up at 5:00 A.M. and not drinking, what else is there to do at that hour? Or was it because they were underage?
As a preemtive measure in case I perl, I'm tipping Essendon this week! Good luck to all.

Great story edperl. I would speculate that the cabbie cannnot take you to jail for simply being drunk; if he could, Frank P, by his own admission, following a Power match several weeks ago at Footy Park, would surely have been taken to the clink for public intoxication and pontificating on how to bring world peace

No more handicaps to the field, from now on you must earn victory. Frank p, turtling is all but impossible with the standings so close, you must prove your own mettle, and I am intrigued if you stay with the Power. That said, edperl has returned: Hawks, yes Hawks! trust me Mr. Elliot's team Bombers Roos Carey vindicates my early critism Crows Oh to be in Footy Park knocking back a few West End beers Tiges back in stride Swans hate to do it but i've invested 3 tips in them time to come thru Demons another iffy tipp time to come through against the second worst team in the AFL, sorry Hatters

Rugg, good luck in the home of the 'Fonz' but they still don't brew Coopers there. :) This weeks big 8 are: Brisbane Carlton Essendon Kangaroos (jumping ship?) Collingwod Richmond Sydney Melbourne Where'd that turtle go?
ok, I'm off to spend 6 days in the beautiful Flinders Ranges, so here are my tips for next round. Feel free to copy 'the master' for a perfect score. I'll leave it up to one of you fine folk to post the results and perhaps paste these into next weeks thread. Bulldogs Hawthorn Adelaide Brisbane Collingwood Kangaroos Carlton POOOOOORRT!! Have a good week everyone, I'll be back next Saturday, unless I manage to fall down a cliff or get bitten by some kind of poisonous animal. One thing for sure, if I get bitten, the biter will probably die from alcohol poisoning...:)

PTiger, you broke your 'perl' cherry! Congrats! Don't worry, though, edperl tanked the game too, with the Hawks tip.
Frank, I'll definitely check out the Ranges on the net. Sounds nice. Watch your step. I've seen lots of shows on Discovery about the nasties that run about down in Oz. Have fun!
