"The oldest living Geelong fan, Martha Nankervis, turns 108 on Tuesday. Martha's husband started the Nankervis footy dynasty when he debuted for the club in 1912. Youngest son Vic continued the tradition in the 1940s. Her great nephews, Bruce and Ian, are the most famous of the footy family. Ian holds the club's games record at 325 while Bruce played 253 games. Her oldest son, Keith - now 86 - played for a local suburban club. Unfortunately, none of her 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, or 7 great-great grandchildren are carrying on in footy. Martha currently resides in a Geelong nursing home and will be joined by family and friend to celebrate her birthday."

Please accept my apologies for going AWOL this week. I have finally gotten back into the stubbie life and have had a couple of big ones.
Huge news today.........Malcom Blight has been sacked as coach of St. Kilda. Apparently he was too aloof for the Saints. Never mind that he's regarded as one of the most innovative and brilliant coaches of the last decade, we just don't like him anymore.

Sorry if I confused anyone with the results last week, just incase you guys noticed my id #. Yes, it is Brew's id#. No, I'm not Brew. Yes, we do work together and the change of positions at work was Brew and me actually switching jobs. Since we've moved and the computer people have not gotten around to exchanging our computers (assuming they ever do!), our id #s will be swtched at least temporarily. Got it? Simple, I know. It's a real pain to not have all your regular files on your computer.
