I'm still in shock!! We played some of the toughest football I've ever seen. The boys came out with all guns blazing and unsettled the Bombers with some brutal (mostly fair) football. The Bombers looked a little flat, but twice managed to haul our lead back and they looked (at one stage) like they were ready to run away with the game. To Port's credit they kept believing in themselves and finally won in the last 30 seconds of the game.
The only thing that worries me is, how will they come up this week? I've seen a lot of teams play their 'grand final' during the season and then it all goes downhill from there. I'm hoping that Port can keep it all under control and get a top four position on the ladder, which is vital for us in the finals.
Yes, quite a few beers made it past my lips on Sunday and I remember my fist thrusting into the air and the word YESSS!!! being yelled a lot too. :)
I'm trying to get tickets to this weeks game against Adelaide, but it looks like it's sold out already. It is vital that we beat these losers and beat them well.
