Things apparently have turned very boring after last weekends upsets. Has someone gagged Big Jack? Have footy players really become responsible drinkers? Here's the best I could find:
*Former Richmond champion ruckman Jack "Captain Blood" Dyer remembers a Fitzroy opponent by the name of Frank Curcio. Frank was not only a footballer, but also a concert violinist. Dyer says fans used to call out from the sidelines "Don't touch his hands. He has to play tonight". Dyer and Curcio had there share of on-field brawls, but once the game was over, that was it and Dyer and his friends would sometimes go to the theater to see Curcio play.
P.S. Frank p, mullets are alive and well in central Indiana, as I can attest to after attending last weekends Brickyard 400.

It had been a tad boring on the AFL fron this week, until last nights 'The Footy Show' when resident 'expert' Sam Newman had his pants and 'jocks'pulled down live on national tv. Sam was trashing Hawks captain Shane Crawford by wearing a Fremantle jumper and shorts, and when Sam's back was turned, 'Crawf' decided to 'dak' him. Sam's 'tackle' was there for everyone to see. It was pretty funny really. I wonder how the US networks would have handled it? (pun intended).
Anyway, this gave me a chance to introduce some more colloquialisms to yous all. :)

Congratulations to Perm Dude for this years first perfect "8". Refresh my memory, but isn't there a bonus 5 pts awarded for accomplishing such a feat? The pack of turtles at the top did not move an inch. They deserve each other!

Fabulous work, Perm Dude! The Crow tip was genius! The Blues continue to surprise. Not sure if the coaching is inconsistent or just the players. These guys need to play better against all the teams or they won't last long in the playoffs.
