Football dad gets 20-year ban

A FATHER who belted an umpire at an under-15 grand final has been banned for 20 years.
An 18-year-old umpire suffered a bruised bowel on Sunday after being attacked by an Alphington parent at Epping.
The Diamond Valley League tribunal has since prohibited the 38-year-old man from any official football duties.
According to league umpires' adviser Stephen Luckman, the two-decade ban would apply throughout the state.
"Effectively, he can't hold a position anywhere in Victoria," Luckman said.
The enraged parent assaulted the umpire at the players' race after Mill Park snatched victory from Alphington in the division one grand final.
The forklift driver, who had earlier served as a "waterboy" in an under-13 match, has also been banned from the Alphington club for two years.
And he will not be allowed to watch his son play or train for the first seven rounds next season.
P.S. Frank p please clarify, what is "dobbing" and what is a "snag"?

Frank, sorry to hear about getting fired (what exactly is 'retrenched'?) Hang in there. Hopefully you've got something else good heading your way. Thanks for he continuing language lessons. We were able to download an somewhat sliced up portion of the Footy Show when the dacking occurred. It was great. The crowd was losing it.
Anyway, good luck with everything. I suggest enough Coopers to keep your sense of humor but not enough to trip and fall face first into a light post.
