Subject: Pre-season underway!!

THe first round of the pre-season cup has been played which means were only a few weeks from the real thing. I'm still searching for a fantasy game which will work, but again it's looking doubtful.
Here is a link to the first round results. You'll notice that Port Adelaide started with a resounding win over Essendon. I was at the game, but remember little of it as I spent most of the pre-match and match (itself) in the bar and was 'best on ground' for my effort.
I'd also like to congratulate Rugg and Ms Pez on the birth of their baby girl, but must register my dissapointment that the name Frank could not have been put to use. Congratulations and I hope your all well.

Frank p, first round results appear very suspicious. Reminds me of the NFL preseason!
As defending Tipp champ I refuse to be lead astray by early season results. I continue to meditate, towards a first round perfect eight.
Still waiting to hear the broadcast situation for Footy here in the States, I don't know where the latest broadcast changes will fall for us Yanks.
I wish I was down under, its summer isn't it? Throw one back for me, wish I could be there.

Thanks, Frank. Sorry about the name, but 'Abigail' went over better with the grandparents than 'Francine'. She and the baby are doing great. We have a digital camera and I'm learning to use it. I'll post a photo to brag about. ;)
Sounds like you had a fabulous start to the season. Keep up the good form if your liver holds out. I've got to start getting my team together. We Yanks had a pretty good year last year, and now we have to keep it up to show it wasn't a fluke.

gentlemen, the time has come to finalize our fantasy league plans for 2002. My scouting service is ready for the draft. I propose we do the old AFL Site game which is not too challenging and decide on anything else thats out there worth doing. Please advise.

Port Adelaide are going for 'two in a row' this week when they take on Richmond in the pre-season Cup. Should be a great game and I'm hopeful we can pull this one off.
I'm a bit worried by the lack of sightings of the 'usual supects' on our beloved EFF forum. There's only two weeks until the season starts, so we better get our arses into gear. ;)

After a long walkabout, I'm back! Actually, I never went anywhere. I've just been very busy with work. However, I'm looking forward to Footy and a new season of tipping! Nice to see the interest is still here and I can see the matches on TV. Let me know when and where to list my team!!
