The new season approaches! Hey Frank, are we gonna do the same league as last year? Bad news for us in the States. Apparently Fox Sports World isn't carrying Footy this year. That blows. I guess we can see some of that excitng NFL Europe crap or even some of those ridiculous sports from the UK that are specific to small areas, like two towns.
Keep us posted on a game for us. I trust everyone had a good off-season. |

The pre-season comp starts in two weeks, with Port facing Adelaide in the first round. I have tickets to this one and am looking forward to getting loud and drunk among the opposing Adelaide suporters. Wayne Carey (the disgraced Mr Carey) is now playing for Adelaide so he should be in for a bit of an earful from yours truly. ;)
I'm looking for another game which requires a bit more involvement. We will have our tipping comp running too.
Now, who is the current tipping champ?

This has been a bad footy off season for me.
I am very upset about footy not being televised in the States. I can watch fourteen epidoses of Sponge Bob Squarepants on Nickelodian but I can't get one footy game for the whole year. I also have been semi-banned from the liquor store where I live that sells Coopers due to "an incident." I'm looking for a new distributor.
I'm looking forward to the new season.

Welcome back boys! The anticipation mounts for a the 2003 Footy year.
I too am disheartened by the lack of Fox Footy broadcasts here in the States. Frank, what I would give to be at the Power-Crow opener swilling West End beer with you, solving the World's problems.
Frank, since I assume your short term memory will be impaired while at the game, here's some slogans you can put on placards to heckle Wayne Carey during the game:

Seattle Zen, I am guessing that you wouldn't know a good beer if it was poured all over your flaming body by a bevy of naked babes. ;) Coopers Pale Ale is mankinds gift from a higher being. I think you should give it another try.
Edperl, unfortunately I will be forced to swill the 'West End' because that's all they serve at the footy. I will, however, grit my teeth and force the amber fluid down in the name of the Rotoguru EFF.
