I popped in to see if any of the regulars had returned for another whipping at footy tipping but all seems lost.
I'm now teaching in a remote australian town and have just managed to get the internet connected, so if there's any interest I'll run another comp. The big problem? Season starts tomorrow.

Hey, Frank. How's it going? Nice to hear from you. Sorry I didn't get do a posting to start the season, but it's been incredibly hectic around my house the past few months. Too many visitors and not enough space!

I caught the weekly game last week on Fox Sports World and for some reason it seemed a lot more physical than last year. Maybe the players are just pumped to start the season. Great game, though.

Edperl and I still work together and things are moving right along. Never a shortage of criminals to prosecute. Good luck with your teaching job, even though you've been banished. ;)

Perhaps starting next week we can get a late tipping competition going. Let me know, because I think edperl and PTiger will be up for it.

Great game last night. They showed Melbourne spank Richmond. That was an ugly turn around from Richmond's performance last week.

Frank, let us know what little town you're teaching in. We'll pull up the maps on the net and get your time zone.

pd, nice to see you're still around! If we start a late tipping comp in a few weeks, you're certainly invited. It just takes a few moments per week, you know.

Gentlemen great to hear from you again. I obviously have neglected the footy board but am ready to dive back in to the waters. (I am a former footy brain of the year, no less) Frank, I'm dying to know your current remote location for time zone purposes. I can no longer do the 4 am wake up to tip because I over imbibed in Coopers.

G'day chaps...good to see you all back here again.
The town i'm currently living in is called Hawker and is found in the 'Flinders Ranges' in South Australia. Therefore time zones are still the same as previous years.

PD I think the people here still consider Spam to be the 'other meat'. ;)

No. That doesn't happen until next Thursday week from last Friday.

If next weeks game is the Adelaide vs Richmond game, do yourselves a favour and go out! This is an absolute shocker and is a sad endorsement of our great game.
