Posted by: edperl - [574561212] Fri, Jun 09, 17:10 Frank p, and other esteemed EFF members, I thought I would share with you the response I got from the Port Adelaide Football Club in response to my recent Sack Williams e-mail. Not that I think it will change anything, but I was very impressed, unlike SmallWorld I got a personal response. Don't tell me Frank p, you got the same one and its a form letter! Here it is: Dear David, Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write to us and apologies for the late response. We accept that you have your opinions and obviously that is your right. Our Club continues to have the utmost confidence in Mark Williams and his coaching staff despite our disappointing season. Although we only have two wins on the board, except for a few unacceptable performances, we believe we have had the opportunity to win the majority of our games. A combination of not capitalising on opportunities when they arise, poor kicking for goals and bad luck (which admittedly you often you create) has resulted in our poor win-loss record. We don't deny it has been a difficult season, but the players and coaching staff have continued to work very hard and finally on Saturday night received some reward for that work with a win against Collingwood. The Club and its personnel will continue to work hard looking to win more games this season, with the aim as getting as far away from the bottom of the ladder as possible. What's more we will look to develop our list and the performances of Josh Carr, Brent Guerra and Scott Bassett over the last month or so have been most pleasing. Thanks again for your e-mail. Edperl, I will find out for you (re. form letter) from my friend Paul. One of the other presenters at channel 7 is a former AFL star and is heavily involved with the Power.
I never bothered to send an e-mail as I would rather just spread idle gossip and rumours. I am impressed that you got a reply and while it starts out as seeming personal it soon starts to head in the form letter direction. These paragraphs look pretty standardised.
