I must say I'm very surprised to have won this -and honored, as tainted as the award has become, that there are people out there who appreciate my presence here. All I can say is that I will continue to try to make a positive contribution to the forum and the community. Thanks, oddly enough this does mean something to me. Props to Chris, for his good-natured response to all of this in the chatroom, and his ongoing contribution here. Now can we all play nice? | |||||

Congratulations are deserved AZD. Your local notes about the Diamondbacks have helped me in my trade decisions several times this year. You deserved the award. I abstained from the voting for a variety of reasons, but I'm glad you won. Now I must start the campaign for the next Guru Jr., allhair allstars. He has worked diligently to provide us with midseason standings, pops in with his opinions sometimes, and has a sense of humor about the whole thing. | |||||

congrats, azdbacker!!! You really do add a lot to this board, and you have a great feel for the SW game. Bests to you. You deserve it, so please, don't feel the award has been tainted in any way. The crown has been wrested from the pretender! A pretender who can't count! Something tells me that the Chatty(room) Kathies will be back in 10 days with a new caper. Winmiller and the other allhair supporters need to be sure to vote early next round so we can get the ball rolling in the right direction before the blue henchmen can attempt another coup. | |||||

Congrats azd, wear your crown with pride. While this has been a circus, the funny thing about circuses is that they can be entertaining. At least, that's the way I try to look at things on the boards(otherwise, things can be pretty bleak around here). Anyway, don't be too hard on the Hen. I think most of you that think the Hen is "slamming people" or anything of that nature don't really understand where he's coming from, and I suggest you to try to take everything he says as a joke. I think his sole purpose on this board is to confuse and amuse, and it appears that most people are only seeing the former ;) Post #1 is completely uncalled for(more of a personal attack than anything bh has ever said), and the fact that slimer agrees with it makes me...sad. I really hope slimer is wrong(that many others share the same thoughts). Ah well, let's get back to baseball shall we? Some exciting pennant chases, and history could be made this year as well. And Park is a top 5 pitcher in baseball!(reference, Local Notes thread from early in the year...took a lot of heat for that one ;)) | |||||
