Subject: An American Flag Screensaver

I decided to update my seasonal webpage a little early in light of the events of the last week. In doing so, I strayed a bit from the seasons theme and went with an "American" theme. Anyhow, after creating the new web site, I decided it might make a nice screensaver, so I went ahead and converted it into one. The final result is simply a flag waving on a flag pole. Nothing spectacular, but it's at least something to keep our national pride alive during these rough times. You can download it here. Enjoy! And if you like it, go ahead and pass it around. |

Lastly, yes, I know it's not a true "screensaver", but most new monitors don't require a true "screensaver" anymore. Thus, this "screensaver" is more like new "screensavers" which are mostly used for decoration purposes.

KKB - I found your new seasonal page earlier while looking through the forum registry. Wanted to see the profiles of the various members I felt I'd gotten to know a lot better the past several days. Very impressive work, IMO

I found a patriotic Desktop theme at ThemeWorld.com . Vintage WWII type.
There are probably others but this is the only one I can find right now. If anyone finds another, post a link. Thanks.

I've figured out a way to make it more of a "true" screensaver, so I'm going to make that version later today. I'll post a general "Screensavers" page that will have the current version and the new version available. On a side note, I just got back from mass and instead of singing the specified "Sending Forth" hymn, the priest turned us to hymn 800: "America the Beautiful." Yes, it is!

Ok, I got 2 more screensavers finished and uploaded. The first is a smaller waving flag that floats around the screen with changing images from across America in the background. The second is just the changing images from across America without the flag. I've set up all the screensavers on a single page. Again, enjoy! And if you like them, pass them on.
