0 Subject: Baseball Trivia question (I don't know the answer)

I've been to the recent Rockies vs Padres games and noticed that the Rockies have in their lineup three consecutive batters with the same first name.

#4 Todd Helton
#5 Todd Zeile
#6 Todd Hollandsworth

With Todd Jones in the bullpen it's conceivable that with a double switch in the #7 slot the Rockies could have 4 Todd's in a row. Maybe this has even happened already this season.

So... What is the record for players with the same first name in consecutive spots in a team's lineup?

Just wondering......

Ichiro
Dude

Old Dude
Dude

a few times this year?

This must have happened last year with Todd Walker, where they could conceivably have had three consecutive Todds and also two consecutive Walkers in the lineup .

We already set the record for pitchers with the same last name in consecutive spots in the losers list:

Bobby Jones faced Bobby Jones last year in a pitching match-up.

If they keep records on this, we're all in trouble ;)

The record for consecutive last names was set at my family reunion softball game.

Best battery of all-time had to be Scott Service and Scott Servais for the Astros a few years ago.

Not sure I agree with that. I watched a few WGN Cubs games in the 80s where Steve Trout was throwing to Steve Lake.

There's the little known Perez quints:

Odalis
Santiago
Yorkis
Neifi
Timoniel

They haven't played on the same team since the Perez family picnic, but their mom had fun making out the lineup card.

Top of tonight's COL lineup:

Juan (Pierre)
Juan (Uribe)
Todd (Helton)
Todd (Zeile)
Todd (Hollandsworth)

A "Double Triple"?

A "full house" of Todds and Juans?
And are those 5 Perezs brothers?

That certainly would beat two pairs.
