Subject: Gurupies game of choice?

It's been a while since i've been here or played any of the TSN games. i've been bitten by the bug again and i'm considering playing baseball this season. i'm wondering which game most of the gurupies now play, free or ultimate? i've been reading through the message boards and there dosen't seem to be much baseball chatter yet.
i see a lot of familar names still here it's good to see you guys again! TF |

I exclusively play Ultimate. The Free Game is tainted by the ability to buy extra trades. Don't get me wrong, TSN has the right to have that feature in the game, but I have the right not to like it :) It ends up being a situation where you have to pay up to win. I would rather pay a flat fee and be on a level playing field (as far as # of trades is concerned) so I play Ultimate. I also don't care for the diminished roster size of the Free Game.

Ultimate...the free games suck especially if you want to compete in the WWRs. free games all have a pay per trade model...enough people do this that you definitely can't compete unless you buy trades.

I have 3 ultimate teams and I will probably make 1 free team for the heck of it. I'll probably make a few free teams for alternate games such as OTO, Tag Team, and LRV.

It HAS been a long time! FWIW, don't bother with the free game. The pay-for-trades option utterly eliminates any integrity the game might have otherwise had.

thanks for the feedback. I went with the ultimate 3 pack and even plunked down the cash for a subscription to rotowire. Now i guess all i have to to do is wait for the train to leave the station. good to see you guys again.

ultimate but Im also addicted to TSN strat-o-matic baseball game. Its pricy $25 for an 8 week season but you build your own team in a 12 team league and you manage that team for an 8 week season.
if you love stats/probability this is an addiction waiting for you.
