0 Subject: Off Topic - Record a presenation in MS Power Point

Posted by: Wammie - [332271814] Thu, Mar 27, 2003, 14:53

Can any one help me? I am trying to create a training package for a sw program i developed. Rather than write out a bunch of details, I would like to just show some one how to open the program and where to point and click. Does any one know how to record myself moving the mouse around my computer screen and saving it as a movie or something like that in power point so i can make a presenation or include that movie in a training package for future use? Thanks for your help?

Off the top of my head, there is a program called Microsoft Recorder (or something like that, I think Recorder is not the right name) that (I think) can do what you are asking. IIRC, it is freely available.

I'll try and look it up later.

Microsoft Camcorder is what I was thinking of. It appears to have been available in Office 97, but not after that.

Found this later:

"Users may want to try Microsoft Producer, instead of using Microsoft Camcorder 97. Microsoft Producer is a free add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint 2002."

Thanks, I will give that a shot, if any one else knows of any other ideas feel free to post them up here as well. If the MS producer works, i will post how it came out. Thanks RSF

Do you know who to launch MS Producer? I read that it is an add on, do I need to install that add on to ms power point? I MicroSoft via my work's help desk and they are saying they only support the base program and not the add ons. Crock of S*!@ in my opinion. Thanks for any help!
