All ----
We just launched our Ultimate Baseball game for 2004!

We have added alot of features and expanded our prize pool this year, so take a look.

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/fullseason/ultimate/

A couple of quick notes:
1) This year's game will have game-time trading. Many of you are familiar with this from football and hoops. You can now buy and sell each player up until their game starts. The roster freeze and price updates will happen at 11pm every night.
2) We moved the links from the left side of the page to the top of the page. We did this in order to be able to fit more things accross the page.

We hope you like all the new features and the new look.

Feel free to let us know if you have any comments or questions.

Rich take a look at this thread:

Prizes

Many of us are still waiting on our prizes. What kind of system do you have for sending out the prizes? It seems odd that we had to get our forms back in 2 weeks but have to wait over 3 months for our prize.

Prizes look pretty good. Hopefully the prize increase will also flow to all the other games/sports as well.

I agree with BMD, it would be nice to have that Spreadsheet feature TSN had in the past that gave all the prices of the players prior to purchasing teams.

Mikel,
Guru will have the prices loaded into the sortable stats and the Assimilator in ....well I don't know exactly when .... when he gets time and we'll be able to play with them before you buy your team.

I asked Bernie if he had a spreadsheet. I imagine they'll offer it again, although it may need to be dressed up first.

I haven't registered my own teams yet. I just feel philosophically opposed to buying fantasy baseball teams in January. I'll probably break down sometime in February. But until I register - or until a spreadsheet is available, I won't be updating my sartibles yet.

BTW, I note that TSN will be providing 7, 15, and 30 day sortable stats this year. I wonder where they ever got that idea? Brilliant!

TSN-Rich posted on the Ultimate baseball boards that the spreadsheet will be available later today or tomorrow morning.

The spreadsheet is now up. It is under "Draft Sheet" on the top of the page.

Frank Thomas has played exactly 0 games in the outfield. He has 967 games at 1B and 867 games at DH.

Interesting.

Beastie Mike:

Prizes have been the bane of my
existence. Truly, we suck at getting
them out.

The problem is that we take 4-6 weeks
to process the forms, and then feed the
check requests to accounting, which is
out of our hands.

This year, we will be building more of
a prize credit center. All of your winnings
will go straight into this center, which you
can then use to buy other games OR cash out
at particular times in the year.

In total, we're hoping that it will get winnings
to users faster, with less hassle, and more
control.

But we're not there yet.

I'd be careful with Nen.

CLV: I was just mentioning that Nen wasn't in the game. Not that I wanted him. My guess is on some questionable players (such as Nen) TSN is going to wait untill March 10th to add them.
