I'm going with "Brett" Boone on this one. I've had two drafts so far this year and both times, the person has drafted "Brett Boone" - it makes me want to disallow the pick! Bret Boone only has one T in his name, and I'm amazed that such educated baseball fans keep getting it wrong, time after time after time.
Runners-up include Alphonso Soriano and Bobby Abreau. What do you guys think?

Without a doubt, Mark McGuire (or any other variation). How does a guy hit that many home runs and still have people screw up his name? Especially baseball fans.

That was me. For some reason, I never even noticed that he spelled it with an "f".

hell, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be 'Bret' until you said something. So, it wasn't actually a typo on my part - (if it was a typo on anyone's part it was Bob Boone's or the hospital). I suppose it's also Aron Boone...

But what about Bret Saberhagen? And of course, Bret Hart!
I used to have 3 friends - Aaron, Aron, and Erin - all guys, all friends with each other. If only there was an Arrin.
Teixeira is easy - two "ei"s - and when he hits his 500th homer, you won't see it misspelled.
Misspell. Mispell? Hmm. It's funny that it's the hardest word in the English language to spell.

see that - I thought it had something to do with the Trung part of the name.
Speaking of names and confusion.. I have been a victim of identity theft.. someone else kind of using my handle.. I should make one of those mastercard commercials with the voice over or something.
So if you thought you were talking to me in any of these other baseball threads - the handle with THE in the beginning of it is a different individual. I know I put this in the Pete Rose thread, but not sure if anyone saw it.
Just a funny coincidence I guess. The person isn't doing anything wrong or anything, we just have the same handle.

It's better to have people typing your name wrong than to have a name that never gets typed at all - like Izturis or Olmedo or Matheny.

sounds good TGO.. what weird is I actually don't like that handle anymore and wanted to change.. but most people around here know me as that, so I am kind of stuck with it.
And as far as typo's -- how about every single player in the NHL?! Trying to pronounce some of them is even more frustrating when you call a guy by the wrong name until you hear differently.

Like the guy on ESPN's Dream Job calling the goalie Evgeni Nabookov.
I pretty much knew then that he wasn't going to make it too many rounds.

I wasn't trying to get into a roto-pissing contest with you. I was just trying to tell you that altering a screen name isn't (or shouldn't be) that difficult.
I am happy for you (kind of) that you are in a WWE roto league. I changed my SN, so it's a non-issue.

I have been great. Deleted the link to GSB quite a while ago, but would be willing to check it out again if they ever got it up and running. They still have some of our old threads in the Simulation Forum. Never hear from guys like Timing and Freda anymore. Timing was pretty funny and a good player. Freda just had a big mouth. I think Blue Hen still wants another shot at bean dip.

Darryl Scott was God. I miss my Braves. I actually occasionally send e-mails to the support e-mail address at the site (which was still there last I checked oddly enough), but never get an answer.
Blue Hen was like the Braves in MLB. Every year you thought he had a shot and had gotten better, but just about every year he came up short.
Timing was a riot. Freda was a weird dude. I pimp slapped him in every league we played in, but he would still always run his mouth.
I still remember the day when we realized the Royals and Cubs were owned by the same guy, and he still couldn't win with either one....
