I'll be in Naperville, Ill., this weekend and might have time for a brief Gurupie meetup. If you're around, shoot me an email. |

Hey everyone. I'm going to Chicago tomorrow, and would like to swing by the Cubs game. My flight arrives around 4 o'clock and the game starts at 7. My hotel is in the complete opposite direction, so I am trying to think of a way to store my bag and laptop when I get there without going to the hotel, which would make me miss 3 innings of the game probably.
I am thinking there are probably storage lockers somewhere at a hub station downtown (Thompson Center perhaps?). Any assistance would be appreciated.

MC - this is the closest i could find, in regards to Wrigley.
it looks like you might actually be able to bring things into Wrigley, but they do appear to have a bag check only AFTER they search your stuff...

Thanks for the replies. That link basically says no luggage in the park (as if I'd want to bring it in anyway). I'll figure something else out.

MC, there are L (train) stops in the area, red line IIRC. Perhaps there are lockers at one of the stations?
I rarely use the L, but perhaps someone in the Chicago area who does can help out.

I was thinking the same thing about the lockers, Ender, but I'm not going to drag my stuff down there unless someone here pretty much guarantees that's the case.
I reread Tree's link and it appears that you can bring luggage to the park, but that they'll check it. I don't know if I trust that. Actually I basically don't.

i know that here in NYC, lockers are very difficult, if not impossible, to find, due to concerns about terrorism and such. After 9/11, most of them went bye bye.

I would not trust the bag check unless someone knows for sure...I have seen people turned away with backpacks and such. Never seen them offer to check them.
