ALE: Yanks ALC: ChiSox ALW: Angels Wildcard: Red Sox
NLE: Mets NLC: Cubs NLW: Dodgers Wildcard: Phillies
WS: Yanks over Cubs
AL MVP: ARod AL CY: Javier Vazquez AL ROY: Alex Gordon AL Comeback Player: Hideki Matsui
NL MVP: Pujols NL CY: C Zambrano NL ROY: Mike Pelfrey NL Comeback Player: Kerry Wood (with 30 saves)
Random predictions:
1.Ichiro is a monster in his contract year and the hapless Mariners trade him to a sagging contender, possibly the Red Sox, which he elevates into the playoffs.
2.Santana gets hurt and Halladay is limited with arm trouble, leaving the CY battle wide open, allowing Vazquez to take it with his best season in the AL.
3. Roger Clemens will be a non-factor, wherever he plays. |

Oh, I forgot Ichiro. He gets traded. Not sure to who. Could it be the Brewers, making a playoff push?

Ichiro resigns with the M's for a ridiculous figure. Young Japanese girls continue to spend thousands of dollars flying to Seattle to watch him play live.
Bonds breaks record. Three pitchers win 20 games Five closers save 40 games Three sluggers top 50 HR's David Wright sucks so bad that people start "MLB2007 cover" conspiracy theories. Mets win without his contribution. [undrafted] kicks ass! Will get drafted next year in round 7! Yankees suck, this time we don't get the pleasure of watching them stink in the post season.

The real reason the Phillies came back to win the NL East: they looked back at this thread and said, "hey, we can't let Seattle Zen down, man!".
Stupid Ben Sheets ruined my Milwaukee pick. I hate the Dodgers and hate them even more for making me look stupid. I still don't know how Arizona ended up with the NL's best record.
Bonds breaks record. Yup Three pitchers win 20 games. Well, Peavy may make it 2 tomorrow. Five closers save 40 games Yup, actually six. Three sluggers top 50 HR's Well, Holliday may make it three tomorrow, if he hits fourteen :) David Wright sucks so bad that people start "MLB2007 cover" conspiracy theories. Yup... in April (0 HR's, 3 sb's, .244 ave). I stopped paying attention after that. Did he ever pick it up? [undrafted] kicks ass! He sure did! But now he's at the top of my "most likely to slide back" list. Yankees suck, this time we don't get the pleasure of watching them stink in the post season. No, the Tigers ended up sucking more. We will get the pleasure of watching the Yankees go out in the first round yet again.
Make sure to watch history being made tomorrow. How could you not vote for Matt Holliday for NL MVP after he hits 14 homers to send the Padres home?!?!?!

My predictions for this were pretty much a reflection of my fantasy baseball year...
ALE: NYY, ALC: MIN, ALW: OAK, Wild: DET Well, at least the Yankees made the playoffs.
NLE: FLA, NLC: STL, NLW: ARI, Wild: NYM My ARI pick would look great if everything else weren't so bad.
AL Cy: Santana, NL Cy: Carpenter, AL ROY: D.Young, NL Roy: Kouzmanoff, AL MVP: A-Rod, NL MVP: Pujols Well, A-Rod was likely right.
Random Predictions - SEA shells out the big bucks to keep Ichiro. 5-year deal for $90M! I got one right. I really got one right!
- Clemens pitches for NYY and makes a case for CY. Ends up with too little because of missed time. Yeah, just ignore that Cy Young part.
- Griffey comes in under 400 AB. What I meant to say was that Griffey would have more ABs than any previous season since joining the Reds.
- Santana comes in 2nd place in AL MVP voting. Or not.
- BoSox never decide on a single closer and it costs them their season. Or not.
- WAS almost wins the NL Wild Card (1 game back) I'm such a homer.
- Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's record and EVERY TV channel has a story about "Asterisk or No Asterisk?" 60 Minutes, Dateline NBC, and CNN all devote an entire show to the topic. Well, he did break the record and there was a lot of talk about the asterisk. Just not quite as much as predicted.
- Mike Scioscia will either get fired or be asked to leave. And by "either get fired or be asked to leave," I mean his team will win the AL West.

AL MOY - Torre Probably nailed it (or Wedge) NL MOY - Grady Little umm, nope.
MISC - - Torre's final season. New NYY MGR 2008 - Joe Girardi He hung from a thread mid season, probably saved his job. Who knows, another ring and he may go out on top, and everyone thinks Mattingly will be next.

Now wait a minute. I only had Olly in one league (plus a few starts in TSN). Granted, this guy in a keeper league with me won't shut up because he had Olly after I didn't keep him after 2005.
My predictions were alright - Phils, DBacks, and Indians in the final four looks pretty good. Peavy will probably win the Cy and Utley's a decent MVP candidate.
And Justin Upton did set the world on fire but it was in August and only lasted a week or two.
