No, this isn't a TSN bashing thread. I am just curious who is playing the game? Mostly to determine my "level of support" for the tools I have that need updating. Or new stuff I might develope.
I'm not playing, but thats nothing new. |

I'm playing. But you should probably wait until later to think about "tool development", as some data capture opportunities are supposedly going to be restricted.

Nah, I'm thinking stuff not related to the TSN data, but things like "Probable Pitchers", etc that are based off other things/sites.

Go hang out in the rotohog thread. ;)
Seriously though this whole situation really sucked. I hope we have enough guys who play to still make it fun.
If I wasn't so addicted, I'd take my business elsewhere too
For the guys who decided to stay out, someone has to call dibs on picking up Twarpy's teams when he quits.

I might play still since it appears Rotohog is going to be a huge time waster. Do you have to fill out your teams before Sundays game? God, this no day late thing is so f'ed up.

I am playing again this year, for the first time in a long time. I just have one team, don't know so many players, but I'm going to have some fun. Having a fantasy team seems to make the season a little more fun, so with no expectations I am in. Go Giants and Go A's.

Think I'm gonna have to go again after 2 or 3 years without. About 10 minutes ago I decided baseball season is not half the fun it was when I had a fantasy team. Can't even remember the ins and outs of the game anymore, but hopefully will figure it out again in the next few hours.

I decided to buy one team after a long hiatus. Have no clue what I'm doing, but that might be a good thing.
Can I still trade players without costing me a trade up until they play a game?

I was out, but I'm going to play one team, as opposed to my usual 5. Will probably play at least 2-4 days late, though, after the first 3 or 4 early money trains leave the station.

Dammit. Missed the boat on Hermanson and had to blow a trade. Might've been worth it to hold him awhile at 500K, but I didn't feel like it. I actually had 6 mil sitting around so I went to King Felix.

I can top that. I inadvertently had Santana and Pujols on one team, and forget to clear them out. So, if I want to avoid blowing any early trades, I now have to fill in a team buy getting 12 players for $28,500.
Ouch.

Man this has been one difficult day to try and figure out trades. Wish Sheff wouldn't have that suspension and trips to NL parks looming. I shld have gotten him last week but knew he'd get suspended and begged off. It's prob not a good time to get him even though he's clobbering the ball. But KJ is finally leaving and I drank the Pedroia Kool Aid and he prob had to go too if not toya then this weekend. Anyone else with this same dilemma?

Stuck with Reynolds and Willie Harris while pumping RV into my pitching staff, last week. Fortunately no injuries this week. (Knock on wood)

Yeah I laughed at people who were buying Harris last week and apparently I did the same thing with Pedroia. However, there is another Harris that I've been watching to get from Pedroia in Brendon Harris. Scared of cheapies right now. Have like 11.5M to get a DH and a 2b if I move them both. Harris would allow me to get anyone I wanted. I think it's too late to get Hamilton now, so looking at alternatives.

Agreed, Hamilton train left the station 2 days ago. I'm also leaning towards B Harris instead of Guzman as my cheapie SS. Might go Peavy->Johan if I can free up the cash.

Well if Hamilton were hitting, I'd grab him but he faces three elfties in a row and he generally sits against them as he has issues (though did get a hit off one this week already). He could be a sell candidate as early as this weekend to Monday.
Even though, my trusted freinds are telling me no on Sheffield, I gotta admit that I still like the move--even if he has to go next Friday. Ny guess is that he'd serve the suspension when Det goes to Wash, but it's just a guess shared by one other manager I've talked to. I'd play Sheff at 1b. I mean come on, you have Casey and sometiems Thames there now. Gotta keep Sheff in the lineup. Grandy is platooned too so Sheff could be put in the OF, just not sure who'd move over to CF.
Harris just jumped out at me today. Couldn't afford (by like 300K) to get Uggla too. Utley is ultra expensive based on the others in the same production area--though you could argue that he's a long term hold.

Have had Utley for about 2 weeks and he hasn't disappointed. Still looking for a cheap OF to replace Willie. Picked up Rios last week and he's been good.

..first Smallworld type baseeball season missed since late 90's (@ 8-9 years). I can't stomach the TSN style/customer service. Maybe they are practicing to become a cell phone carrier or cable company.
