I have Holliday for 2 out of 3 nights and get -10 pts. Debacle. Oh and thanks to the Red Sox for scoring late and winning - yeah, but not getting Schill and Beckett wins - boo.

Ditto what Guru said about Cust.
I just emailed them again asking if I would get points for him on Thurs since the db shows him on San Diego, who does not play Thurs, but Oakland does.

Maybe that will prod them to fix it so they don't have to do all the manual corrections later.

Got an answer from RH.

Hi Cliff,

If you have Cust in your lineup, you will get points for him today. We will fix his incorrect team display as soon as possible.

Thanks,
The RotoHog Team

Why the hell isn't Jenks pitching in Game 1?!?!?

I was watching, and Jenks was ready to come in. The announcers surmised that Ozzie decided to see if he could preserve Jenks, given the 2-run lead. If a runner had gotten on base, Jenks probably would have come in, but with a 2 run lead and a 1-2-3 inning, Jenks was spared.

I assume you use the word "spared" somewhat facetiously (at least for a fantasy baseball forum). As is, I was "spared" his 20+ RH points!

Not sure it matters much for any of us that Jenks wasn't used...I assume most of the contenders had both Rivera and Jenks playing today.

If anyone is interested.

pt/g hitters: 7.16 (total); 6.18 (May)
pt/ip SP (199.1 IP total): 4.72 (total); 5.85 (May)
pt/ip RP (92.2 IP total): 15.95 (total); 16.24 (May)
pt/ip all pitchers: 8.28 (total); 8.77 (May)

Hitting doing 1 pt/game worse this month, SP and RP slightly improved.

RE; #62

Hrm, the question wasn't really answered was it? Rotohog is talking about "today"(Wednesday?) you were asking about Tomorrow(Thursday), right?

Maybe, ask: "When will Cust's roster spot Freeze on Thursday?"

Lebowski,
That was the original question.

We shall see what happens.
Not even sure I will have him, but figured it was a good time to try to convince them to make the change.

How many people avoided Hamels today because the Brewers - especially in Philly - scared them?

I think the DH was already coded properly. Maybe it's the Cust issue.

Went out of him for today's game, just because, but bought him back for my roster.

Now I doubt if it is Cust, as that should have been fixed quickly. Probably some technical problem.

If it's not fixed soon, a lot of early game players may not get locked into active spots before their freeze.

My guess is that they found a glitch related to locking spots once the maximum innings are reached. It seems some people were getting there in IP. Just a guess.

Cust is still listed as "SD"

I'm tempted to start him today, just to see what happens - if the site ever lets us adjust lineups

I went ahead and added C. Lee.
Right now had Sheff, Mags and C. Lee in the OF slots with Vlad at DH and Cust on the Bench.
Might do the change also just to see.

Hopefully holding Mags and Sheff will pay off.

Neither had I.

For the record: Posada, Ortiz, Utley, Youkilis, Reyes, Bonds, Vlad, Holliday, Crawford

Paps, Santana, Krod, Nathan, Wagner, Fcordero.

I will email rotohog too. I have no idea who of these is in my lineup as of right now.

Pitchers seem to continue to rise in price after good outings. Dice, Sabathia, and RJ (among others) continue their slight rises in price.

I usually set things before I go to bed.
Just easier for me to do that.
Of course, I quite often mess with them in the morning.

Hopefully I'm all set.
Got a Telcon in a few so need to head to the conference room.

Will see what happens later.

I'm not a fan of the DH lock system.

I love the matchup for my Detroit players against Tavarez, but I also have to accept the results against Schilling?

That seems like a tradeoff you shouldn't have to make.

Is there no way to just get the early game out of a player?

Re 88:

Now that I think about it, you're absolutely right. It's a consistent problem across all platforms.

I suppose the lure of the cash prizes in this game really magnifies every issue.

I was 5 mins late and I lost $60. I have $100 less value than I had at the end of last month...and falling.

So I was trying to edit my lineups to get who I really wanted in teh right spots and the edit lineup function is down again. What a crock. There are so many things wrong with the site. They need some major QC and they are so busy that some basic things are being overlooked that are hurting the game. This edit lineup being down is major, but not what I'm referring to obviously.

I totally forgot about the early start time. Thankfully, I had very few of the Bos/Det players (Varitek, Paps, T Jones) so my value didn't take too big of a hit.

I'm at about $760. I haven't cracked $800 yet, but have been over $790 (I think) and down to $720 or so over the past few weeks. I haven't been overly attentive on weekends and tend to lose $40 or more, only to slowly gain it back during the week. I'm particularly bad at selling guys who have off-days on Mon or Thurs and have lost a lot of value that way. My other money loser is starting a pitcher with a game time of 4:05 PST. I usually get home just after the freeze and get hit with a $$ loss. Not that it matters too much at this point.

Ugh, I tried to sell Reyes pre-freeze on multiple occasions and I couldn't. The site truly has been erratic today.

Worst case scenario he appears as a pinch hitter and strikes out, costing me a game and points, while Hardy or Hanley have 20+ days.

[99] - you could have simply moved him to a bench slot. Once he's in a bench slot, you can sell anytime without locking up funds.

Re 100:

I couldn't do that either.

I tried to sell him for about 3 mins and then I tried to bench him about 45 secs. before the freeze.

I suppose I could have just taken last night's injury notes more seriously or staked out the pregame box a little earlier. Seems like quite a bit to do to compensate for a fundamental feature of the site being down.

As it is, I don't anticipate 15-20 points making a difference for me one way or the other. However, if it happens to be the case, I've got several dozen poor player moves to blame before I begin to blame anything else.

C Lee it is, unless I come up with a better option.
At least VMart finally made it worth me having him on my team.

Guess I could go C Lee > Pence :)

Kazmir's line through 4 innings is once in a decade type stuff.

Only 3 runs allowed, 2 ER, 9 K's, 6 BB's, on 109 pitches!

Today was the first day all month (and actually a lot longer) that I didn't have ARod or Vlad in my lineup. ARod did something little but Vladdy is killing tonight in his first two ABs. I benched him for Cust. Go figure. I benched ARod for Wright. Yeah that worked out well. At least he was positive in his one AB.
