I haven't booked any games yet but think I have the dates....until my posse and I realized it included Easter Sunday, which might be a problem for a portion of my crew. Where is that game? CHAIR - Maryvale is the Brewers' home park. Nice park, and while parking is ample it's a pain in the ass to get into....but that was my only complaint. They have a modestly-effective shading device which is handy if it's really hot. In fact, my favorite picture of the trip was taken there: That is RIGHT where when my posse and I are going to be there, and we have a Brewers fan in the group as well. I'd imagine that game will be popular with LAD being a Grapefruit team. You'll love Spring Training if you haven't gone already. | ||||||

Great pic. I have kids so we booked the grass. So, your pic is a nice shot of that too. we went to Hohokam last year---that was nice. I've also seen NYY vs. NYM in the Grapefruit League. If you go to the game let me know---I'd love to say hi! | ||||||

CHAIR - it's not that hard to get there, it's only a mile or two off of Interstate 10. What's a bitch, at least in the direction we came in from, is that the Maryvale complex is a huge complex with 5 or 6 baseball fields.....so there is a ton of parking around there. They funnel you in pretty efficiently but it was a good 20 minutes to get to the largest lot in the back of the complex as it was relatively close to game time and it was very crowded. If you get there earlier to enjoy the sites, try for an autograph, etc I'd imagine it's a lot easier. | ||||||

Ender - best seats in the house are $20-ish. You can chill on the lawn over the outfield wall for under $10. Watch out for Cubs games because they are packed - my original schedule includes 2 Cub games, but I may have to re-think that because I can't get good seats. I'm there 3/22 to 3/27 if you are going that late. | ||||||

Went to the Dodger/Mil game mentioned above yesterday. What a great day for a game----about 90. Ironically, we sat in the shade in the lawn section shown in Specie's pic. Was great to see the Dodgers play. Penny and Kemp are HUGE in person. The offense on both sides was lacking, but still a great day. (3-3 tie) Being in the shade helped my kids stay cool. My son got Looney's/Loiaza's auto, just missed Braun's/Ethier's (couldn't reach that far, but both were very friendly to him). All the player's seemed in great spirits except for Jeff Kent (go figure). Maryvale park is very nice park. If you have not been there I recommend it. Finding it was easy, but the parking is a bit crazy. A good day! | ||||||
