The Mets have announced that they will make up last month’s rainout against the Yankees on Friday, June 27, at 2:10 pm as part of a day-night, split-stadium doubleheader with Game 2 back at Shea Stadium at 8 pm.
Why in the world would they do this on a Friday????

[11] The Yankees and Mets only have one common off day, 9/11, and neither wanted to lose that day off if they need it in the playoff drive. Saturday is a 4PM game, and FOX did not want to give it up making a day/night 2-park game unworkable that day. ESPN does not want to have them play 8PM Sunday since they can only move the Yankees once more to Sunday prime time this season and want to have the 9/21 Yankee Stadium regular season finale as an option. If the Yanks/Mets wanted to play Sunday PM on their own, they could not televise it because of ESPNs exclusivity agreement. Friday afternoon works best.

So, ummmm. Baltimore & Oakland are playing a DH on Saturday...and taking Sunday off.
I assumed the game was in Oakland, and it was for football purposes...but it's in Baltimore. Anyone know why???

Maybe it's because of Hanna?

Try checking the Orioles web site. It's not because of Hanna. It's because of the Ravens game.
