Anyone else subscribe to this and watch games on the web? I'm considering trying it out for a month to see how it goes. Hard to turn down a chance to see all or parts of every potential game.

Been a subscriber for about 4 or 5 years. I love it and renew each year without thinking.

I got a 1-month premium MLB subscription after watching a couple of games at the end of last year. The screen size is smaller, the video quality seems worse and the feed keeps locking up, and I am using the same PC. Opening day was a joke trying to switch from one game to the next. It took almost 30 minutes to get the Dodger game up after leaving the Phillies game.

I hope it was just because of heavy opening day traffic, but I am not so sure I will re-up in May.

Anyone else have this experience? It would be great if I can get full screen and not have to deal with the feed locking up.

I remember it being good in year's past and excellent last year. It's hard to beat if you are a fan of an out-of-market team.

1) They are at the moment unable to serve anyone with Windows ME or older. The Media Player isn't working for we people.

2) They had horrible horrible problems opening day and I'm not sure whether everything has been cleared up yet. I would follow the MLB.TV threads here: here like this one before signing up this year.

I have the so-called Premium package and must say this is the worst season ever for the MLB.TV package.

Pro: Video and Gameday Audio

Cons: Where do I begin?

First, the promises: "Your 2008 MLB.TV Premium Yearly subscription includes access to every 2008 regular season out-of-market game LIVE or on-demand, MLB.com Gameday Audio, over 150 Spring Training games LIVE and on-demand, plus access to Condensed Games & new for 2008, Searchable Video."

The condensed games have been replaced by highlights. Oh, condensed games are still available ... it's just that they're the archived ones from the 2007 season.

The Silverlight video player stinks. True full-screen display on a standard 19" LCD is impossible; the image occupies only about 60% of the screen.

Quite often, pitches and/or entire plays are missed returning from commercial breaks. During a recent Red Sox game, MLB.TV went to break after the first inning and didn't return to the game until the bottom of the second. That's inexcusable.

The "highest quality video" 1.2MB feed is choppy, prone to freezing, and lags behind the 800MB feed. If a game goes into the ninth inning tied or with the home team leading, better switch from 1.2MB to the 800MB feed unless you want to miss out on the final out(s) or scoring play(s). Once the final out (or run) occurs at 800MB, the 1.2MB feed terminates, even if it's in the middle of an at-bat.

Customer service: Ah-ha-ha-ha. You're kidding ... right?

Yeah, I think if I were to buy baseball games I would go with MLB extra innings. Live streaming video is just not quite up to a standard that allows for comfortable viewing yet.

This is my first year to have it and I've really enjoyed it. The 1.2M feed freezes up on occasion so I stopped using it. I can't tell the difference between 1.2M and 800K so I've just stayed with the 800K feed and it works like a champ. Overall, no complaints here.
