This is a really tough trade for me and I feel some emotions may play into this more than stats. I am in an 11 team roto keeper league. Keep 10 players. Stats are a little goofy for this league. H, R, HR, RBI, BB, SB, AVG, OPS are the stats.
My team: C Napoli 1B Prince 2B Roberts 3B Alex Gordon SS Michael Young LF Carlos Lee CF Chris B. Young RF JD Drew (Cuddyer on DL) UTIL Kouzmanoff, Loney BEN Ethier
I would trade Chris B and Loney for Corey Hart and Matt Kemp. This is 2 keepers for 2 keepers and I gain in every category except HR and RBI. (I gain in OPS because of Chris B's low low OBP.) The average age of this trade is 25 years old so these are some up and coming stars. I want to pull the trigger but I need some support. What do you all think?

I like it long-term, but Kemp's getting shafted on ABs right now.

Do NOT trade Loney! The dude is a stud.

Loney is high average, but punchless, relative to other 1st basemen. Think Mark Grace.

Kemp on the other hand has a legitimate shot at 30-30 if he can get the ABs.

Hogwash. Even if Kemp took all of Adrian Beltre's "special vitamins" he wouldn't hit 30 dingers in Chavez Ravine. He'd need to be traded to ever hope to smack 30. Yes, Dodger Stadium is neutral over the years as to home runs, I think Kemp will not have the power to hit 30 without home stadium help.

Thanks for the help. I know Loney has a lot more pop than Kemp, but I still have Kemp as a 20-20 guy this year and as he gets older he may trade some of that speed for power.
Kemp somehow got into that platoon with Pierre, I am not quite sure how that happened when it was supposed to be Ethier losing the ABs. Even with the platoon I think Kemp should get 500 ABs. Anyone think that's unreasonable?
Just for fun I put together a chart last night of how I think the stats will be this year. What do you guys think of these numbers?

I will bet anyone 10 bucks to Guru that Kemp hits more HRs, adjusted for ABs, than Loney does this year.

Well, he got the ABs and he got the SB's, but he would need about a thousand at-bats to get 30 homers. Both he and Loney are pretty disappointing in that department.
So, Kyle, did you trade Chris Young & Loney for Kemp and Hart, for that would have been a great trade?

I actually ended up trading Chris Young and Prince Fielder for Adrian Gonzalez, Hunter Pence and Clayton Kershaw. It worked out pretty well for me I'd say.
