Cito Gaston!
Wow, I saw Gibby getting the axe, but Cito comes out of nowhere.
Now we just need to get rid of JP! |

Don't think that will be too far behind.

And get Roberto Alomar to play second base? And keep the pitchers healthy? And club Josh Beckett, J.D. Drew, and Jonathan Papelbon in the kneecap?
I laughed a little when I saw this. I guess Jays fans should be happy with Cito's body of work, but...

Cito is ok. Is he the solution? Maybe, maybe not, he will bring fans back, and is a hitting guy on a team that lacks and has underachieved this year.
In Toronto we keep pointing out the ever so obvious glaring move that needs to be made, and that is to can J.P. Riccardi.
JP has been the GM for 7 years, and what does the team have to show for that? One second place finish and the following drafted players: Aaron Hill, Shaun Marcum, and Jesse Litsch. Travis Snider is looking good on the farm, but time will tell on him. The point is, there have been no dominant players developed by the JP Riccardi regime.
Now you can say he has Boston and New York to contend with, but the Jays haven't even played a meaningful game in August since JP came aboard 7 years ago, let alone secured a playoff spot. And, with no young talent on the horizon, building hasn't been the primary theme either.
And now with his locally well known cocky attitude coming to a national spotlight with his comments about Adam Dunn, its time to say good bye to JP...finally.
With Buzz getting the heave ho in Seattle, JP might have taken the chair for worst GM in baseball.

I have a buddy that moved to Minnesota. He's still a Jays fan, so I had to include him.
