0 Subject: Live Draft

I Commish a league and we usually use autodraft, but a few of the guys have been interested in doing a live draft.

The issue we have is timing. We're all over the country with different job schedules. How long can we take to do the draft? Is over a month an option, with a time limit on making picks, or do we have to all be in front of our computers for 3-4 hours one night? BTW, this is yahoo, H2H...

Thank in advance for any replies...

Set it up as an offline draft where you manually enter players later and use a site like this one to do your draft. Time limits are then whatever you decide.

It could be that kafenatid.net would allow you to customize your draft to whatever time settings you want as well and might be an even better option.

If you do it one night on Yahoo, you get 90 seconds to make your pick and then it goes into autodraft mode. If you want to do a slow draft, follow Stl Cards advice. Kafenatid is awesome, but it costs a small amount.

First of all, thanks for the replies...

Now just so I have this right, the draft would be set up over however long a period on kafenatid and then I, being commish, would manually transfer it over to Yahoo, or is there another way to do it?

Thanks,
D

The $$$ part would be no problem...

kafenatid is what you want to use. you can set the hours that the clock is running, you can set how many hrs are allowed for each pick, you can turn it off on weekends if you want, people can set up queues to be used, it's price is extremely low (10$).

pretty sure you do have to manually enter the draft later (or maybe people can pick up their own players as FA's?).

Yes, you manually transfer the results from Kafenatid.net to your Yahoo league.

The draft would run until the last pick is made.

Thanks everybody for the replies, I signed up on kafenatid's forum pages last night, so now I guess I just wait until baseball season comes back around.

BTW, is that $10 total or $10 for each team? Just curious so I know what to tell the league.

Thanks,
D

It's only $10 for the league. And every time I've used it it's been a great experience.

I know, I love the site, but since I no longer do TSN, I haven't used it in years. I will definitely use it come draft time...

Thanks again for all the replies...
