If you do not pick a team for the first day of the contest, you can't join midway through, you'll have to wait for the next game to start. Look for the word *NEW* in the thread title. 2. Anyone can join, just pick which team you think will lose, you cant pick that team again for 2 weeks. 3. When a new game starts your prior picks are erased and you can choose from any of the teams again. 4. Once you pick a winner, you're considered a loser, please leave ;) 5. Your pick must be in before that particular game starts, you may change your pick as long as your original picks game hasn't started yet. 6. If you do not submit a pick for a given day, it will be counted as a loss, errr, a win, and you will be eliminated. 7. If your game gets rained out, you will be allowed to change your pick to a game that hasn't started yet. Otherwise, a rainout is as good as a win, meaning, you're out! 8. If there is a day with less than 3 games on the schedule, we skip that day and pick things up the day after. 9. Once we get to the final 2 players, a couple of new rules are thrown in… a. Your pick cannot be posted more than 24 hours before that game starts. b. The two finalists cannot have the same picks, first come first serve. -Tiebreaker - Amongst the teams you've picked, sum up their losses on the season. That is how you get your tiebreaker number. The lower the better, it rewards you for picking better teams and staying away from the bad teams. If there is ever a day where everyone picks a winner, the tiebreaker will eliminate every remaining player who doesn't have the lowest number (there may still be 2 or more people with identical tiebreakers, so they'd keep playing another day) September 16, 2008 Chicago White Sox at New York Yankees, 7:05 pm (R) Gavin Floyd (15-7) vs. (L) Andy Pettitte (13-13) Minnesota Twins at Cleveland Indians, 7:05 pm (L) Francisco Liriano (5-3) vs. (L) Zach Jackson (0-3) Los Angeles Dodgers at Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:05 pm (R) Derek Lowe (13-11) vs. (R) Jeff Karstens (2-5) Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays, 7:07 pm (L) Chris Waters (2-3) vs. (R) Shaun Marcum (9-6) Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays, 7:10 pm (R) Josh Beckett (12-9) vs. (R) Andy Sonnanstine (13-7) Houston Astros at Florida Marlins, 7:10 pm (R) Roy Oswalt (15-9) vs. (R) Chris Volstad (4-3) New York Mets at Washington Nationals, 7:10 pm (R) Mike Pelfrey (13-9) vs. (L) Odalis Perez (6-10) Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves, 7:10 pm (L) Jamie Moyer (14-7) vs. (R) James Parr (1-0) St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds, 7:10 pm (R) Braden Looper (12-12) vs. (R) Bronson Arroyo (14-10) Detroit Tigers at Texas Rangers, 8:05 pm (R) Zach Miner (8-4) vs. (R) Kevin Millwood (9-9) Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs, 8:05 pm (L) CC Sabathia (9-0) vs. (R) Ryan Dempster (15-6) Seattle Mariners at Kansas City Royals, 8:10 pm (R) Brandon Morrow (2-3) vs. (R) Brandon Duckworth (2-1) San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies, 8:35 pm (L) Shawn Estes (2-2) vs. (R) Ubaldo Jimenez (10-12) San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks, 9:40 pm (R) Matt Cain (8-12) vs. (R) Dan Haren (14-8) Anaheim Angels at Oakland Athletics, 10:05 pm (R) John Lackey (11-3) vs. (R) Sean Gallagher (1-2) 0 0 Probable Starting Pitchers from The Sports Network
