If you do not pick a team for the first day of the contest, you can't join midway through, you'll have to wait for the next game to start. Look for the word *NEW* in the thread title. 2. Anyone can join, just pick which team you think will lose, you cant pick that team again for 2 weeks. 3. When a new game starts your prior picks are erased and you can choose from any of the teams again. 4. Once you pick a winner, you're considered a loser, please leave ;) 5. Your pick must be in before that particular game starts, you may change your pick as long as your original picks game hasn't started yet. 6. If you do not submit a pick for a given day, it will be counted as a loss, errr, a win, and you will be eliminated. 7. If your game gets rained out, you will be allowed to change your pick to a game that hasn't started yet. Otherwise, a rainout is as good as a win, meaning, you're out! 8. If there is a day with less than 3 games on the schedule, we skip that day and pick things up the day after. 9. Once we get to the final 2 players, a couple of new rules are thrown in… a. Your pick cannot be posted more than 24 hours before that game starts. b. The two finalists cannot have the same picks, first come first serve. -Tiebreaker - Amongst the teams you've picked, sum up their losses on the season. That is how you get your tiebreaker number. The lower the better, it rewards you for picking better teams and staying away from the bad teams. If there is ever a day where everyone picks a winner, the tiebreaker will eliminate every remaining player who doesn't have the lowest number (there may still be 2 or more people with identical tiebreakers, so they'd keep playing another day) September 23, 2008 Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles, 5:05 pm (R) James Shields (13-8) vs. (L) Garrett Olson (9-9) Cleveland Indians at Boston Red Sox, 7:05 pm (L) Cliff Lee (22-2) vs. (R) Tim Wakefield (9-11) Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers, 7:05 pm (R) Zack Greinke (12-10) vs. (R) Freddy Garcia (1-0) Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies, 7:05 pm (L) Mike Hampton (2-3) vs. (L) Cole Hamels (14-9) New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays, 7:07 pm (R) Mike Mussina (18-9) vs. (R) Jesse Litsch (12-8) Chicago Cubs at New York Mets, 7:10 pm (L) Sean Marshall (3-4) vs. (L) Johan Santana (14-7) Florida Marlins at Washington Nationals, 7:10 pm (L) Scott Olsen (8-10) vs. (R) Shairon Martis (0-3) Oakland Athletics at Texas Rangers, 8:05 pm (L) Josh Outman (1-1) vs. (R) Dustin Nippert (3-5) Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles, 8:05 pm (R) Mitch Talbot (0-0) vs. (R) Alfredo Simon (0-0) Cincinnati Reds at Houston Astros, 8:05 pm (R) Edinson Volquez (16-6) vs. (L) Wandy Rodriguez (8-6) Pittsburgh Pirates at Milwaukee Brewers, 8:05 pm (R) Jeff Karstens (2-6) vs. (R) Dave Bush (9-10) Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins, 8:10 pm (R) Javier Vazquez (12-14) vs. (R) Scott Baker (9-4) Arizona Diamondbacks at St. Louis Cardinals, 8:15 pm (L) Randy Johnson (10-9) vs. (R) Kyle Lohse (14-6) Anaheim Angels at Seattle Mariners, 10:10 pm (R) Jered Weaver (11-10) vs. (L) Ryan Feierabend (1-4) San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers, 10:10 pm (L) Wade LeBlanc (1-1) vs. (R) Chad Billingsley (15-10) Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants, 10:15 pm (R) Ubaldo Jimenez (11-12) vs. (R) Tim Lincecum (17-4) Probable Starting Pitchers from The Sports Network
