Rules:
1. If you do not pick a team for the first day of the contest, you can't join midway through, you'll have to wait
for the next game to start.  Look for the word *NEW* in the thread title.
2. Anyone can join, just pick which team you think will lose, you cant pick that team again for 2 weeks.
3. When a new game starts your prior picks are erased and you can choose from any of the teams again.
4. Once you pick a winner, you're considered a loser, please leave ;)
5. Your pick must be in before that particular game starts, you may change your pick as long as your original
       picks game hasn't started yet.
6. If you do not submit a pick for a given day, it will be counted as a loss, errr, a win, and you will be eliminated.
7. If your game gets rained out, you will be allowed to change your pick to a game that hasn't started yet.
Otherwise, a rainout is as good as a win, meaning, you're out!
8. If there is a day with less than 3 games on the schedule, we skip that day and pick things up the day after.
9. Once we get to the final 2 players, a couple of new rules are thrown in…
    a. Your pick cannot be posted more than 24 hours before that game starts.
    b. The two finalists cannot have the same picks, first come first serve.
-Tiebreaker -  Amongst the teams you've picked, sum up their losses on the season.  That is how you get
your tiebreaker number.  The lower the better, it rewards you for picking better teams and staying away
from the bad teams.  If there is ever a day where everyone picks a winner, the tiebreaker will eliminate
every remaining player who doesn't have the lowest number (there may still be 2 or more people with
identical tiebreakers, so they'd keep playing another day)

NY METS

The Mets were founded as an expansion franchise in 1960 and began play in 1962.
The club came into existence as a replacement for New York's two previous National
League teams, the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants, who relocated to
California following the 1957 season.
As an interesting historical note, there was an earlier baseball club called the New
York Metropolitans which played in the short-lived American Association during the
1880s. While the defunct 19th century team is not related to the current incarnation
of the Mets, its moniker did serve as the inspiration for the modern day National
League franchise.
From the beginning, the Mets sought to appeal to the large contingent of former
Giants and Dodgers fans. The Mets' team colors reflect this: orange from the Giants,
blue from the Dodgers (and even a reference to the Yankees via home pinstripes).
Coincidentally, orange and blue are also New York City's official colors. Thus two rival
fan-bases with 19th Century origins were largely united in support of the new club.

(Trying to add a little spice to this post.)

judy - feel free to NOT spice it up...I try and just copy and paste the entire thread into a spreadsheet and use macros to do all the work for me, so any extra stuff in here just creates extra work for me. Thanks.
