Anybody have any info on Happ's status as a starter. MLB Tonight was reporting either last night or Monday night that with Pedro being thrown in the mix, he may end up in the bullpen. Any other rumors or truths anybody's heard? I have a hard time with his performance tonight(and for the rest of the year for that matter) believing they would put him in the bullpen just to make room for a has been like Martinez. What does everybody else think?

I don't think there's any information beyond that. At least, not that I've heard. As a Phillie fan, I think you've got to stick with Hamels, Lee, and Blanton. Then you can choose two from Moyer, Happ, and Pedro. Honestly, Pedro is third on that depth chart right now. To me, it's stupid to move Happ. He's right where he needs to be. And I don't think Moyer would be as effective in the bullpen - I think Pedro could be an awesome 8th inning guy, and that's where I'd like to see him.

But of course, he'll complain about that.

Moyer is the guy to demote if Pedro moves into the rotation. If not, then Replace Lidge with Pedro. Lidge stinks.

They've got a lot of lefties right now. Pedro needs to be put in to break it up a bit.

My gut tells me that Moyer will be the odd man out, but it is interesting that none of the Philly
news media want to mention that. Happ is just too good to put back in the bull pen, although I
think he would do very well there if he had to go. I loved the grin on his face last night when he got
the CG win. We need another righty in the rotation and that means Pedro.

A rotation of Lee (lhp), Hamels (lhp), Blanton (rhp), Happ (lhp) and Martinez (rhp) would by DY - NO
- MITE!

Even if Martinez gets tired, we can use the bullpen. The other guys should go deep, saving the BP.

Just as importantly though is that we need to get our lefty hitters to do better vs lefty pitchers...

Last year Pedro was HORRENDOUS in the first inning...I can't imagine having him work out of the bullpen!!!!!

I still can't understand why the Philthies want him
