May 7: Friday's Detroit at Cleveland game was called off due to rain just before the start of the fifth inning. A rescheduled date was not immediately announced, though it is expected to be played in July, when the Tigers come back to town (the teams share a common off-day July 15). The rest of the weekend series is on as scheduled; the make-up game will not be played Saturday, May 8. None of the stats from what transpired in the four innings Friday will count.

May 12: The second game of a day-night doubleheader between the Rockies and the Phillies on Wednesday night was postponed because of rain at Coors Field (this was to be the make-up of the May 11 rainout). The Rockies announced that no makeup date has been determined.

May 14: Friday's Nationals at Rockies game has been postponed due to "soggy" weather. The teams will attempt to play a day-night doubleheader Saturday, May 15: first game at 12:10 p.m., second at 6:10 p.m. (local time). Saturday's weather report lists a high of 57 degrees with a 50 percent chance for rain.
The pitching matchups remain in place. Ubaldo Jimenez will pitch the first game for the Rockies against Livan Hernandez. Jason Hammel starts the second game vs. the Nationals' Luis Atilano.

May 17: The Detroit Tigers' home game against the Chicago White Sox tonight has been postponed by rain. The same starting pitchers -- Rick Porcello for the Tigers and former Tiger Freddy Garcia for the Sox -- will pitch Tuesday afternoon's game. Justin Verlander will be bumped to Wednesday's game at Oakland in the opener of the Tigers' West Coast trip. Tonight's game will be rescheduled for a later date.

August 8: Cardinals at Marlins
Cardinals finale in Florida washed out
The Cardinals' game Sunday against the Marlins was rained out after a total delay of 4 hours and 2 minutes. No makeup date was announced. The Cardinals only have two off-days next month, Sept. 2 and Sept. 20. The Miami Dolphins have a football game scheduled at Sun Life Stadium on Sept. 2, so the latter date appears the most likely option for a makeup. Even so, the Cardinals' players would have to agree to waive a league rule that says a team can play no more than 20 games without a day off. If they waive the rule, they would have to play 31 straight days in September and October. The teams are not scheduled to play again this season.

Does anyone know when the decision to reschedule th Marlins/Cardinals rainout has to be made? This can have significant fantasy impact if it is rescheduled for 9/20 -- an extra game for players on those 2 teams during the playoffs! The other alternative day for rescheduling would be 10/4, WHICH, ACCORDING TO MY UNDERSTANDING WOULD NOT COUNT IN FANTASY STATS!

Tigers-Orioles doubleheader Friday, October 1:
Due to the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole, the Orioles’ Thursday night game against the Detroit Tigers at Camden Yards has been postponed. It is rescheduled as part of a straight doubleheader Friday afternoon beginning at 4:35 p.m. The second game will follow 20 minutes after the first.
