Ken Griffrey Jr. was asleep in the clubhouse in the seventh inning of a recent game and therefore was not used as a pinch hitter in the game.
What I take offense to is that this story implies that he has not been asleep every other time he has been at bat this year. |

I have nothing that backs up this statement but has any brighter star flamed out faster than Griffey? Over the past ten years he's had 2-3 good seasons, but nothing near the monster numbers he put during his first stint with Seattle. He's a first ballot HOF'er but all the good work was done early on.
I think Zen's link kind of sums up his past ten years.
