J came up with a fantastic idea; we should have a summit where we invite as many Gurupies as possible. This idea has been around for a while, so let's talk about it more formally.
- Where should it take place?
- When should it happen?
- What is your general interest level?
- What sort of events should be included (sports, etc)? |

the where and when should take place after figuring out who is interested.
i.e. while NYC seems like an ideal locale for most people, it might prove to be less so if there are more people from the mid-west or west-coast or what have you.
i find the DFW metroplex to be centrally located. :oD

Tree is right, but its also a bit of a chicken and an egg theory. New York people might come if its in New York but not come if its elsewhere.
We should go global and have it in Canada with the real G20 Summit!

This answer is obvious:
Spring training in Arizona
- Cheap to get to
- Great attractions for any sports lover (NBA and NHL along with baseball)
- Far superior to FLA due to the CLOSE proximity of all of the teams
- Didn't you ALL SEE the pics of the women from my last trip???!!!???

A spring training trip has some appeal to me.
NYC is easy for me to get to as well. I suppose we could try both. If the timing would work, I'd try to attend both.

This sounds like a good idea. I would opt for Las Vegas. Another idea would be to include a live draft of some kind. Maybe form a new league.
