I have begun organizing the RIBC and the related qualifying leagues.
All 16 invitations have been sent to prospective RIBC managers. I'm still awaiting a response from two.
Teams that are prequalified for a AAA league in 2013 have also received an email. This includes:
- teams finishing 8-16 in the RIBC
- teams finishing 4-8 in a AAA league
- teams finishing 2-8 in a AA league
Teams that finished in 9th place in a qualifying league (AAA or AA) are "bubble teams", and are first to fill any AAA vacancies.
All other teams are invited to participate in a AA league this year.
Everyone who played in any RIBC league last season has been sent an email which provides their status for 2013 and asks for a response. If you played in any RIBC league in 2012, check your email (using the same address you used for last season). If you did not receive an email, please let me know.
I'm trying to use email to handle as much of the initial recruiting as possible. Sometime next week, general AA recruiting threads will be started, open to anyone.

Hey Guru, not sure I am reading this correctly.
I finished 3rd in AA Texas last season. Does that mean I am pre-qualified for AAA this season?

Beebop - I was given a different email by your commissioner from last year. I just sent an email to this one.
That's why I started this thread - I thought that some of the emails might be obsolete or mismatched to teams.

Here is the current status:
All 16 RIBC managers have been invited and have accepted. So the RIBC is set - and a league thread will be started shortly.
25 (of 32 total) slots for AAA leagues are now claimed.
12 AA managers have responded positively.

All AAA slots are now filled. Threads for the two leagues will be setup in the leagues & standings forum. All managers should soon be contacted via email from their respective commissioners.
