Thank you Guru. I had no place to vent about my 0-26 batting to start the season. 0-7 last night. 0-19 today before I finally got my first basehit.

The RIBC summary page will again be posted daily.

You can also get there from the RIBC icon on the RotoGuru home page.

Folks, I'm looking to deal Oscar Taveras or Derek Jeter to get someone one the roster I can use now. If you're interested in Mike Trout of 2013 or looking ahead to when we add intangibles as an RIBC category, shoot me an offer.

Maybe I should pay closer attention, but I didn't even realize Dan Straily was optioned back down to AAA. Yahoo has an NA sign and a note next to his name, ESPN has neither...

Wow, I'm having a great season. #1 Bautista missed a couple games opening week. #4 Weaver is out 6 weeks. #5 Greinke broke his collarbone last night. #7 Axford already lost his job. #11 Jeter is out until May.
I knew it wasn't a great draft, but this is getting out of hand.
Good news: nowhere to go but up.

I just like how you have Greinke and Quentin on the same team. What great friends they must be!

I was thinking the same thing. Fortunately, Jeter is also on the team to keep everything calm with his intangibles.

Was adding Mujica when he disappeared. Wish I would've done it 30 minutes ago like I did in G20. Nice pickup.

The waiver time is set to 1 day. Am I wrong that it previously was 2 days? Not sure I have an opinion one way or the other, but I'm used to a 2 day waiver period.

Adding Mujica will likely be irrelevant, if not detrimental. Ask the Mitch Boggs and Shawn Camp owners how save opportunities for those players have worked out for them. But as someone who drafted a single closer, this is the consequence - playing the closer carousel and hoping to find 2 saves here and 5 saves there.

[9] Looks like it did used to be 2 day waiver period. Not sure why I set it at one day this year, also I did post 1-day in the preseason thread.
It may have been an inadvertent change, but I'm not inclined to make a change now.

Aaron Hicks easily had his best game of the season by not starting, walking in his only plate appearance, and stealing a base.

Max & pace seems to be out of whack. Currently has me at 63 games behind at MI and 155 behind in IP. Interesting formula they must be using.

Can someone please remind me of the reasoning behind no DL? Injuries are a double whammy in that you lose the player, and he also takes up a valuable bench spot.

Seems like we voted at some point to add an extra roster slot rather than a dl slot. hard to imagine that we ever had fewer roster slots though. Even with no injuries I always feel a little short-handed.

Early this morning, I picked up McClouth. I chose him over Martin, Lagares and Davis. By the time I checked again this evening, all three of those were also rostered. That's why I love this format; without a doubt, the most competitive and active league I've ever been a part of.

Kind of surprised to hear that McLouth was still available.
.342/.435, 35 runs, 18 rbi, 12 steals after joining the Orioles last season (55 games, 236 plate appearances), and even better this season.
I don't know what happened but his move to Baltimore helped him turn things around.

Looking to trade a closer for a real hitter, or something like that. Make me an offer.

With one day to go in May the May splits show last month was pretty consistent with the top of our season long leaderboard, but we are only 2 months in. Nice month by GURU who seems to be trending in the right direction. Nice recovery by TILT who was dead last on May 1 but slowly moving up the food chain.
I drafted three SP in the first 8 rounds, none reaches based on the ADP, and thought I'd be a lock to generate solid numbers on that side of the leger but that seems to be where I am struggling right now. Still plenty of time to recover or maneuver.

bh, lucky I didn't have time to pull that Dominic Brown trade down :)
Probably best for my team and would still do it but when I proposed it on Friday he wasn't nearly as valuable.

The following hitters are available. Primarily interested in a starting pitcher in return (not an ace, but someone in the Doug Fister/CJ Wilson tier, perhaps, depending on the package). Would also consider an outfielder who steals bases, or a closer.
Jed Lowrie, Oak 2B/SS Anthony Rendon, Wsh 2B/3B Justin Smoak, Sea 1B (900 OPS against righties, slugging .515 since May 1st) Brandon Belt, SF 1B Matt Joyce, TB OF (must sit against lefties) A.J. Pierzynski, Tex C (hitting 5th regularly now)

Crap. I made a mistake in dropping Bogaerts instead of Mark Ellis. Wrong MI. Pretty bad error since it was a waiver claim but was doing it quickly. Any chance this can be revised?

Anyone looking to move up or make sure they play in RIBC again next year who would benefit from a few saves, Mujica is available. Would also throw in Putz, who could finish the year saving a couple of games given how Zeigler's been getting hit around recently.
Looking for starting pitching in return, or maybe stolen bases. Preferably, a starter on a winning team, since my staff can strike everyone out and keep them off the bases, but can't win games.

Hey Guru. What do we use as tie-breakers? Got a good one going in AA Yahoo league.

Three days to go in the 2013 regular season. The top-3 slots in RIBC have been wrapped up for a while but it has been interesting to watch the daily jockeying for slots 4-8 over the last month as we compete for those coveted 2014 invites.

At the last minute, I picked up Henderson Alvarez to start today.
Wish I had been that insightful more often this year!

Thanks everyone for a great season. Congratulations BMD, you had this won for a while!
If top 6 plus Guru get invites to RIBC 2014 then my 2 stolen bases today should move me barely ahead of Uptown Bombers and into 7th, to squeak in.
Regardless of where I end up, I love this format and look forward to competing with you all again next season.

I know that I don't get to stay in the RIBC, so what league do I get placed in. PCL ESPN or the yahoo INT" or does it matter.

Typically, AAA teams get to pick whether they want ESPN or Yahoo - subject to availability. We are usually able to accommodate most requests, because some managers have no preference.
