Oh, 1 other for now: The Dodgers open the season 2-0 before most any other team even plays a game. Figured I'd go out on a limb.

Things I think I predict... I predict a significant Darvish injury this year (beyond the current soreness). Toronto will still not be very good. Yanks realize they should have paid Cano The Phillies are an aging disaster and held on to their old guys way too long.

Contradicting my previous prediction to propose the semi-believable thought of a World Series Game 7 showdown between my Cy Young picks (Kershaw/Felix). Although I kinda recall a very anti-climactic NLCS matchup between two of the best arms at the time with Halladay and Lincecum a few years back. It is pretty safe to put Lincecum at his best and Halladay as the 4th/3rd best pitchers mentioned though. Kershaw and Felix are having Randro type seasons of rare dominance right now.... Kernandez!!! Don't miss it!

I'm liking my Jose Abreu AL ROY pick over your Erik Johnson today, filthy, but your Cy Young picks are looking real sharp.

hah not even close! same with AL MVP!
I still would pick Kershaw for NL MVP. I honestly don't even know where to check for this, but is he a contender for Gold Glove/Silver Slugger as well? Has to be a Silver Slugger contender, but I think Gold Glove may be a stretch. The other day there was a fantastic play made, but I don't believe he tends to get much for fielding opportunities?

Fangraphs link According to fangraphs Kershaw is 4th among pitchers who have 50 or more PAs. Travis Wood and Madison Bumgarner are far and away the best hitting pitchers this season.

Heh, Bumgarner has a .370 BABIP, so it's all luck, right?
Wood has zero walks, so there's that.

Well aside from my al east boston pick (which is common for me always rooting for Boston) I feel pretty good about my picks. If we ended today I'd have 4 out of 5 AL reps in the playoffs including KC (though right now I have them flipped for wc and division leader). And I'd have 4/5 NL reps flipping only the Reds out of my predictions for the Brewers. Even have the WC there right.
My individual player predictions, on the other hand, are pretty horrible with maybe only Trout and Hamilton right.

Nice! Guess I could have searched but I had a feeling someone here might have the perfect link. Thanks Kyle!
I must be lucky with my Kershaw watching. He seems to get a hit when I see him, but I clearly don't get to see a lot of his starts. Missing some 0'fers. Gotta see Wood or Bumgarner one of these days, those are some beefy numbers.
Fielding looks like Greinke? Cueto? (AL: Keuchel!!!)
I'm still liking a lot of these races to go down to the wire. MVP races are super wide open in my view. Rays are still gonna pull the AL East off somehow? They got that magic. I need the Jays to steal that magic somehow!
Some great predictions all around. I still like most of my picks, but Rockies wild card is about as bad as Erik Johnson ROY. Wrong White Sock!! I am gonna have to blame Bobby for making me doubt Jose Abreu. But blame to myself for thinking the Rockies would stay healthy and contend.
The predictions by GO are as good as you can get without suspicions of sorcery.

Nailed the AL outside of the east getting West, central and WC spots picked correctly.
Just about the same in the NL getting the East and West winners right. St Louis was my WC choice but they won the central. Got Pittsburgh in the WC, just flip san fran in for Cincy for post season appearance.
Getting the AL MVP and possibly the NL RoY but thats about it. Was pretty atrocious w/ my award picks.

Not a good result for me. I had just two playoff teams correct in each league. Totally screwed up ALE and NLC.
BUT.... I did nail the American Idol Season 13 winner :)

I'd like to say in post 11 that I predicted the Yu Darvish injury. I feel bad for him but it was too obvious. I was just a few months late on the prediction.
