The 2016 Prospect Draft will begin Wednesday March 16th. The clock begins at 12:00pm ET.
A draft-eligible prospect is defined as a hitter that has less than 150 Major League at bats or a pitcher with less than both 55 Major League innings pitched and 20 Major League games pitched. Further, to be eligible, the player must be a professional baseball player, defined as one of the following:
- Under contract with a MLB team's system. This does not require them to have been assigned to a minor league team at the time of the draft.
- A professional player playing in/having played in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) league.
- A professional player playing in/having played in Korea's Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) league.
- A professional player playing in/having played in Cuba's top professional league, the Serie Nacional.
Amateur players in High School, College or otherwise subject to the Rule 4 draft are not eligible.
There will be a 3 hour per pick clock and a 4 hour cumulative clock to draft. If you are skipped, you may make your selection at any time. If you have been skipped and not made up that pick, you will continue to be skipped until you are caught up. Time will not accrue from midnight to 8 am ET, though anyone may select during that time if their pick is up. Legit queues will not accrue any time. There won't be a cumulative clock chart so it's up to each manager to know when he times out. I am sure there will be some managers to help out with that.
Once the draft concludes, the only way to add a prospect is via trade or future drafts. If you are skipped you have 3 hours or until the last pick is made in order to make up your pick. See a commish for details. Complete rules can be found in our constitution.

We are drafting rounds 36, 37 and 38. We keep these rounds for posterity to track when prospects were drafted.
Illegal selections will be allowed to be corrected if found during the draft, but the draft will proceed. Your replacement pick will be able to be made at any time.
Please email the next three managers after drafting. If you are posting for someone else, please put their name above their selection.
Besides commissioner updates/graphs/etc, please only put picks in this thread. |

NOTE: It is every manager's responsibility to double check our prospect list and the main rosters/callups/9 keepers. If you - even inadvertently - pick a player that is ineligible, for any reason, the draft continues and additional picks can be made until you notice your mistake. It is your responsibility / error and the draft does not stop.
The above list is to try to help.......but it may not be 100% accurate. I could have missed someone or misspelled their name (didn't bother to check the spelling of Inglesias), so if a search doesn't pick up a player because I misspelled their name, that is ultimately on the drafter.
Guru will post the draft grid when he has a chance. The first 3 up are: blue hen, Jaydog and Bean. blue hen may choose to pick at any time, although he - and everyone else - is NOT required to make a pick until tomorrow when the clock starts.
