So 3 games in (3 spectacular games I might add) and 2017 opening day is officially here. Traditionally I'd head out for lunch about now and catch some of the games at a bar during lunch, but I just can't manage it. However I've got the MLB app on my phone so I can listen to any game's radio broadcast.
I wont get to my Red Sox until 2 so until then its bouncing between Marlins/Nats or Brave/Mets
Who are you watching/listening to?

Opening Day usually means watching the rest of the country luxuriate at a sunny ballpark while those of us up here in the Upper Left US are still damn cold, but today we, too, are sunny and depending how close you are to the water, over 50 degrees! T shirt weather!

Thumbs up to you SZ. Glad you got to enjoy some nice weather today.
Now that I'm at home watching games I have to say I'm enjoying hearing Ms. Mendez in the commentators booth. I'll be 100% honest - I didn't think I'd enjoy a female commentator. Baseball color guys just have a tone of voice and a deep voice that is kind of a hallmark of the trade. You almost expect a certain sound to come from the TV that a female just can't deliver.
But a) she actually sounds just fine and b) between yesterday and today she's already shown that she knows her baseball - maybe better than her booth mates. A few times she started down a topic with a deep thought on a play or a player and her fellow commentators just wouldn't take the bait and acknowledge her point. They'd just go about their own business. I hope she keeps going with this. She's a nice addition to the team.

Jessica Mendoza? she did this last year too, no?
Enjoyed having games to check on throughout the day.... makes it feel warmer out somehow.

Went to spring training, but nothing like games that count. GO Tribe, GO Rockies.

Loving that baseball is back. I always forget how much it is just weaved into my April through October. stayed up until 1am just to watch the end of the A's Angels last night for no fantasy reason, just to watch more baseball
Will be at my 40th Yankee home opener in the past 41 years next week (curse you 2015 opened heart surgery for ruining my streak). :)
