7/27
Orioles @ Marlins
Yankees @ Phillies

Postponed. No makeup announced yet.

Marlins have 14 positives in their team and traveling party. Phillies could have been exposed to them over weekend series.

My post on DD thread on 6/27/2020:
There are a number of reasons why the season will begin. First there is so much television money involved that I believe that the season will open with attendance strictly limited. Secondly the president will disregard his scientific and medical experts and will push strongly to open the season as evidence that the country is back to "normal." Very unfortunately because of the extremely high rate of contagion, what will rapidly ensue will be spread of the virus among the players, their families and fans who attend. The season will be suspended shortly after it starts.
It is critical medically and for public health that everyone wear masks. Wearing a mask is not a political statement.

More Marlins tested positive today. All Phillies came back negative (but isn't the incubation period longer?)

Orioles @ Marlins
Yankees @ Phillies
Todays games involving Phillies, Marlins and their opponents also postponed. No makeup announced yet... if any.... i could see MLB just working around canceled games and awarding post season berths on winning percentage.

Can't imagine the Marlins are going to play any time soon... unless they just bring up their whole taxi squad.

Nationals issued a statement that they would prefer NOT be traveling to Miami for the weekend series vs Marlins - decision rests now with MLB

Wed and Thu Phi @ NYY canceled
Wed and Thu Bal @ Mia canceled
Fri, Sat, Sun Was @ Mia games canceled

the Yankees will be playing @ the orioles on Wed and Thu since they are without opponents and to add flexibility for missed games being rescheduled later.

Schedule tweaks to come

Phi @ Tor (played in Philly) 7/31 postponed.

Tentatively rescheduled for a doubleheader on 8/1.

Now entire 7/31-8/2 Phi @ Tor series (in PHI) is postponed due to 2 positive tests (no players, staff and clubhouse personell).

Since the Nats @ Marlins is already canceled this weekend, maybe the nats and jays can hook up this weekend. Stay tuned.

Yikes, the knot gets tighter.
Nats/Jays supposed to play each other 4 times? Just playing their 4th as I type this.
Slightly unbalanced still seems to be better than slightly incomplete.

According to MLB.com, Jays were set to face Phils *6, Nats *4, Marlins *4, Braves *3, Mets *3 so there isn't even a perfect balance to maintain anyway.
The juggle is real!

Friday's (7/31) StL @ Mil game has been postponed after multiple members of the Cardinals tested positive for COVID-19.

I already have one team with 2/3rd of their starters out because of postponements. And since they arent disclosing who's coming down with COVID from these teams, its impossible to plan for next week.

To help make up all the postponements, MLB and the players’ union agreed Thursday that doubleheaders this season will become a pair of seven-inning games.

I'm so confused. ESPN is showing PHI postponed vs. NYY AND MIA. ow can they play two different teams on the same day? Who are the Yankees playing today?

Nobody. Their scheduled game vs. Philadelphia was postponed on Monday night, because of anticipated weather today.

Just keeping this thread up to date

Postponements
8/7-8/9 Cubs vs Cards
8/10-8/12 Pirates vs Cards

Assuming St Louis won’t play 55 games in 45 days so some of these may be cancelations

Cards are back in action 8/15... Mlb released schedule changes and they will play 11 doubleheader’s between now and end of season to get to 58 games. DH with Detroit would take place I believe only if playoff implications.

Reds vs Pirates 8/15-16 postponed as Reds have a positive player. They could make up on common off day Monday but they also play two more series later this seaaon

In ESPN?
In Yahoo?
In Ottoneau?
