Thanks Nerf, if you would like an assist with that part, I don't mind doing some entry.
In past seasons, as draft results are saved, the player pool does update to reflect our picks.

I loaded in the last few rounds and started the season. I hope I got everything right. Yahoo insists on adding all the inflections on latin names, so it's difficult to search names sometimes.

86- it feels good being on the other side of that one. a few times where the name disappears as I'm selecting who to drop, and one time it happened as I it was asking if I was sure. shot down with an error message. ouch. I think you'll return the favour soon enough.

Here's my "this already looking like a repeat of last year" vent. Lose a closer I drafted in the 8th round before the season starts, Giolito leaves his first start with abdominal strain, and now Bogaerts was holding his hamstring and left the game. Rizzo was hit on the hand today but seems to be ok? This is only day 2!

Realizing Ohtani is even more valuable here with the setup than in ESPN as he can be started as a hitter on the same days he pitches while in ESPN you’d have to choose.

It'd be pretty even for ESPN/Yahoo if not for the new rule change allowing Ohtani to play a full game as a hitter on days he pitches. I suspect the loss of a bench spot probably evens that out. I'd be very curious to see the game logs for both teams at the end of the season... except ESPN doesn't have that.
Speaking of site features: has anyone found an analog to Matchup Ratings? Did they change the name of that or remove it?

I don't know how many times I have to say it. Both versions of Ohtani belong to Species, in perpetuity. He gets to use the waiver wire to stash one version of Ohtani at anytime because of the loss of a roster spot. That is how we initially set up the league. Se posts 6, 60, 61, and 62.

Now that I have survived the beginning of the season while awaiting Laureano/Urias/Rojas to return, I have the space to (hopefully) just keep Ohtani.

RE: IL rule stated in thread 31.
I interpreted the rule as you cannot add a free agent/waiver claim that is already on the IL and stash on your IL.
I did not view anything wrong with picking up a "healthy" player who goes on the IL and then placing him on your teams IL.
Am I interpreting this wrong? I am basing this inquiry on Nerf's email.

Yeah my bad. I got my IL rules mixed up. What's posted in 105 is correct, though I was probably using it the way I said it because, again, I have different IL rules in every league I'm in.

Guys, if you added an injured player and then moved them into an IL slot, you need to cut them. It's a rule of the league. There was no penalty the last time this happened so I'm curious to see how Ramirez and Barlow play out. And now I see Yepez too.

As expected, no one gave up the players they stashed. This rule has no teeth. If I ever have my IL slot free I may as well make sure it gets used.

You're right holt, in a way, because it's a hard rule to enforce unless someone is looking at transactions and rosters every day. Nobody is going to do that, so it's an on-your-honor kind of thing.
I would HOPE everyone respects the IL rule from here on out, and maybe we can get it changed next year to be a little more enforceable (or remove it altogether).

dang, I saw pressly hit the IL and was in the process of adding neris and montero and my stupid internet went out when I was adding montero. couple minutes later my internet is back but munson sniped him. munsoned. might be for the best, he hasn't been pitching well anyway.
I was about to work on some offers to send an SP for a bat but nestor cortes hit the IL today too so I've got no hand. but if anyone is looking to make moves maybe something is possible, hit me up.
