Pick 10: I didn't have alot of options, so chose the highest available.

1.10 Ronald Acuna Jr., OF ATL. I couldn't pass him up here, even if he will miss the first month of the season. He's clearly a top 10 player even if he plays only 120 games.

2.07 Manny Machado, 3B SDG. I had trouble deciding here between Albies and Machado. I went with Machado only because I like the OPS a little bit better. Albies is now probably my favorite player (was Freeman), so I would have loved to have him, but...

3.10 Jonathan India, 2B CIN. ... I got someone I feel is almost as good as Albies, with a similar hitting profile. This might be a bit of a reach, but I love the young guys and how they could project.

4.07 Josh Hader, RP MIL. I use my own player rater that takes historical stats for RIBC in a 3 year running average, creates a 'replacement player' which is the median 9th place values, and measures each player positive or negative by each stat from that 9th place stat. The highest rated pitcher on my board for RIBC, based on ATC projections? Josh Hader. Does my rater need tweaking? Possibly, but I also didn't take him in the first round.

5.10 Christian Yelich, OF MIL. My how fast this guy has fallen. Two MVP-type seasons, and then seemingly back to being the good OBP low power guy he was before his move to Milwaukee. Even that latter profile proves extremely valuable in this league, so I don't mind taking a chance on him in the 5th round, with hopes he regains his power stroke.

Pick #3: Choosing this pick was 100% with the hope of drafting Shohei Ohtani and his dual eligibility as a UT and SP. Forgive me gurudan for getting a little snippy about it, but it is no coincidence that I chose the 3rd pick immediately after Nerfherders said that the owner of Ohtani gets exclusive rights to both the hitter and the pitcher, JUST LIKE in ESPN where the main RIBC is held.

1.03: Shohei Ohtani, UT/SP, LAA
Now, just because I had the 3rd pick didn't mean I was going to get Ohtani. He went 1st in RIBC, however with ESPN you get both the hitter and the pitcher in one SLOT....whereas in Yahoo you have to have both. So, for the hassle of permanently streaming Ohtani the SP in Yahoo, I get the benefit of both. It will require some managing, but quite simply.......it will just be FUN.

2.14 Teoscar Hernandez, OF, TOR
A mistake pick in the sense that I went off just 1 set of projections and I should have looked further into other versions of projections. Now, Hernandez is part of the massive TOR offense, so is probably a cinch for 190+ RBI + Runs, but in RIBC his OBP and SLG are not exactly on par with other in this tier. What I should have done is probably take Trevor Story now and do something else in Round 3.

That said, the 12-15 chip in steals are a big plus as a base to add to Ohtani's low 20's.

BTW - I would have taken Brandon Woodruff if
Dave R didn't - what highway robbery!

3.03 Trevor Story, SS, BOS
True, his ratios will take a hit in Boston, but I am betting on them not cratering. I really debated between him and Tim Anderson (who went next), and ultimately decided the more balanced RBI/Run profile and (hopefully) better ratios was worth it. Story's 20+ steals just further cemented a GREAT base in SB for me - something I am always weak in.

.....in hindsight, I wish I would have taken story here and then followed up with Pete Alonso. Oh well.

4.14 Aaron Nola, SP, PHI
I subscribe to the theory that Nola's inflated ERA last year was a fluke. This theory is based upon his other ERA indicators (FIP, Siera, whatever) all saying his ERA should have been in the mid-3s instead of mid-4s. The WHIP was great, as was the strikeout rate. It was close on him vs. Peralta but the the projections all pointed to Nola.

I do worry about Philly's defense.....but the corresponding offense should lead to his share of wins.

5.03 Raisel Inglesias, RP, LAA
I wanted to secure one of the top 8 or so closers that I felt secure about in this draft....and let things work themselves out from there. With the long turn of 27 picks until my next one, I plugged my nose and dove into the deep end and took him.

If I knew Diaz and Pressly would have made it back, I probably would have taken Alex Bregman.

3rd pick shouldn't have gotten Ohtani! How did he slip that far??! #1 by a landslide, wish I had better luck with the draft pick lottery.
Got the last selection and lucky #13 chosen for me.

Soto, Turner, Ohtani, JRam and Vlad all gone by the time I get in for the first queue. Any of them would have been nice.
1.13 Freddie Freeman, 1B, LAD. Freddie goes to Hollywood! This should be fun.
Preferred Trout, Harper, Betts from my queue had they slipped. Freeman does the trick, good anchor to the offense.

2.04 Corey Seager, SS, TEX Big reach already. Strong feeling about Seager in Texas. Not so strong a feeling about the Rangers, but the offense has some potential.
Preferred deGrom, Tucker, Buehler from my queue had they slipped. May regret having Seager ahead of Robert, SMarte, Albies, Scherzer on the queue. Really liked that small sample OBP from Seager last year. And the contract makes me think he's gonna put up some ARod numbers. I dunno about that one. 23 to go!

3.13 Kris Bryant, 1B/3B/OF, COL Players on new teams theme is emerging. And making large reaches early. Not the best themes. Bryant in COL has me thinking of the old Arenado offensively. Sign me up for that.
Would have liked it if Urias, Bieber, Buxton had slipped.

4.04 Randy Arozarena, OF, TB Not a new team, not a huge reach, breaking some trends here. Randy for Randy!
The newest theme is guys that have done some playoff damage. Will being unable to resist the appeal of the short sample playoff mystique backfire on me? Probably. Will dig my way out of things by making some more reaches as we go.
Really like Arozarena's chances to continue developing into a solid player.

5.13 Max Fried, SP, ATL Fried really blossomed last season, hoping that was turning a new leaf rather than a hot few months. Almost worked his way into CY consideration down the stretch.
Bregman, Altuve, Correa, Muncy, Oneill, Reynolds, Rodon some others on the radar that I passed on last time or overlooked this time.
Fried stood out not so much because of postseason success overall, more from the last start he had in the World Series. Really gave me a good gut feeling about the guy. His Aug/Sept helps a little bit.

4th pick, figured I'd be happy with whoever was left between:
Soto
Trae
Vlad
Ramirez

Literally a little over an hour after I chose the 4th pick, it was announced how Ohtani would be handled. I'd didn't take Species long to jump on the 3rd pick. I'm surprised he lasted until 3rd.

1.04 Jose Ramirez 3B CLE
Whats not to like, a 5 tool guy. Expecting 200 runs and RBI's combined, 25-30 SB's ans an OPS near .900

2.13 Brandon Woodruff SP Mil
I felt there was a big drop off among SP's after Brandon so it was time. An amazing 2.56 ERA and .900 WHIP with 211 K's in only 179 innings last year. Unfortunately that translated to only 9 W's due to lack of support. Here's to better luck this year

3.04 Tim Anderson SS CWS
I decided to look for a SS round three, which was a good thing with Fosten grabbing I believe 6 SS eligible players with his first picks
Tim will supply loads of runs, 20 or so SB's and solid %'s

4.13 Liam Hendriks RP CWS
A top tiered closer, saving 38 last year with 113 K's in 71 innings, supported by an ERA of 2.54 and WHIP of only .730

5.04 Ketel Marte 2B/OF ARI

A risky pick here given his injury woes last year, but dual eligibility is a plus. I'm hoping for a return to the numbers he had in 2019, a crazy OPS of.981, 90+ runs and RBI's and double digit SB's

6.14 Will Smith, C, LAD
Remember He-Man and The Masters of the Universe? With this pick I was motivated by his call "By the Power of Grey Skull!!!!".....except it was "By the Power of Ohtani's Eligibility!!".

I was all set to take Joe Musgrove here to get a 2nd strong starter. He was clearly the best / last of a tier - and the next manager agreed because he went immediately after me.

But if you count Ohtani in for 130-ish innings, I could afford to go for a player who will truly make a difference - while Catchers are notoriously risky, with the DH LAD won't have to ride Smith as hard and he can likely exceed the 130-ish games he played last year. I don't even need his whole .860 OPS to blow away almost every other catcher - just his .355 OBP will absolutely obliterate Sal Perez. The advantage of such a strong catcher will make up for weaknesses elsewhere in my last infielder or outfielder.

7.03 Joey Gallo, OF, NYY
Gallo in an OBP league is such a huge bargain here at pick 115/whatever. Even at a .330 obp he's a bargain given his 90/90 RBI/Run likelihood with a lot of upside for more. Most projections have him in the .345 obp range and slg ranging from .485-.514.....so another .830+ OPS bat late with huge non-sb counting stats. Sign me up.

If he had gone, Rendon and Votto were two guys I wanted. Backstop was Pressley or Diaz.

8.14 Josh Donaldson, 3b, NYY
I really needed some corner infielders, which were going fast. Donaldson gets hurt a lot, but last year he played 135 games for Minnesota and had a .827 OPS. The projection systems give him credit for pretty much the same, and I would take it. His R/RBI have a chance to improve in the Yankee lineup.

9.03 Clayton Kershaw, SP, LAD
A low inning, very high floor pick here. I definitely want to keep my ratios strong and Kershaw should do that. Yeah, it might be in 135 innings, but with Ohtani too I can make it work. The Dodgers might win 110 games with that lineup -- maybe Kershaw can add 15 wins to his HOF resume.

10.14 Eduardo Rodriguez, SP, DET
A rushed pick while traveling. But every projection system seems to think that his ERA indicators (FIP, Siera, xERA, etc) all think he pitches WAYYYYY better than his 2021 stats indicate.....and the move to Detroit for a team on the rise may help solidify his ratios.

Honestly I wish I took KeBryan Hayes here.

6.07 Charlie Morton, SP ATL. Since I did the unthinkable and grabbed a reliever in the 4th, I felt like I had to go SP in the 6th. Already the list was getting thin and there weren't alot of top options left.I decided to go with Charlie Morton here. He solidly goes about his business, puts up top numbers, and has a good defense behind him. I really wanted Fried here but he didn't quite get back to me.

7.10 Yu Darvish, SP SDP. The plan here was always to take two starters back to back. I looked at a lot of guys and settled on Darvish. Darvish and I have a very tumultuous fantasy history. When I don't own him, he's a lights out, top 5 pitcher. When I do own him, he underperforms and/or gets hurt. I now own him on two of my four teams this season, so maybe I can break the streak. Interestingly, I had Dylan Cease as the second pitcher in my queue, and he went MUCH later in the draft.

8.07 Chris Taylor, Everything, LAD. The ultimate swiss army knife, Taylor puts up decent numbers but his real value is being able to play him anywhere. For now, he will be my SS.

9.10 Marcell Ozuna, OF ATL. I really wanted Rizzo here and he *almost* made it back to me. I had to kick 1B down the road a ways and go with best available. That ended up being Ozuna, who was basically out all of last year, but showed some pop in winter ball. I'm iffy about him and his relationship with the team, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got traded. He should still hit, though.

10.07 Oneil Cruz, SS PIT. I was looking for MI in this spot and wasn't sure what to do with it. I always like to grab one of these prospects who look like they will get a chance to start, so I went with Cruz here, who has plus plus power. It will be fun to see what he can do - just hoping he gets the job straight out of spring training.

11.03 Nathan Eovaldi, SP, BOS
Another rushed pick while traveling. At this point in the draft I have been kicking 1b and 2b down the road thinking guys will still be there. Well, that didn't work as guys like France, Segura went before this pick and guys like Schoop, N. Lowe, Voit and Wong went after it, so I regretted this pick when I made it while hiding from my wife in the men's room of a winery in Napa :D

....not that Eovaldi is a bad pick. The projection systems had him clearly above the rest. Boston is in it to win it and Eovaldi held up great last year. Here's hoping he can do it again.

12.14 Dylan Floro, RP, MIA
Second closers were drying up, and even though he is the favorite to be the closer in Miami, there is huge risk here because if someone else steps up in the week or two he is out while ramping up, he may never get the job back. I fully intended on backing him up with Anthony Bender, but kept kicking THAT can down the road and SANFORDORS stabbed me in the back and grabbed him in the 20th.....but it's my fault really.

13.03 Luis Urias, 2b/SS/3b, MIL
Urias had a breakout season, for him, with over 20 HR last year for Milwaukee. This 3-way eligibility is a huge boost to position flexibility over the year, and fills in the gaping hole I had at 2b. I knew when I made the pick he had a quad issue....so I will need a replacement for a week or so to start the season.

14.14 Josh Rojas, 2b/3b/SS/OF, ARI
Another swiss army knife with a job who can basically back up nearly every position on the field.....with short benches in RIBC this is huge. Might bat 5th or 6th so a decent spot in the lineup.

....but still pissed off because I cannot be on the correct side of 1b as Sano and Aguilar come off the board since my last pick :(

15.03 Frank Schwindel, 1b, CHC
....qualifies at 1b check
....has a pulse check

Pickin's getting thin at 1b, so while he doesn't really 'qualify' at this point in my rankings, it's time to plug my nose and take my medicine and get someone with a job. Let's hope he keeps it!

11.10 David Bednar, RP PIT. He should at least start as the closer, and probably has the best stuff in that bullpen, but you know how closers go. One bad week in April or May, and...

12.07 Bobby Dalbec, 1B BOS I was forever on the lookout for a 1B in this draft. Later on I figured out why, but they were very hard to come by. Dalbec is going to hit for power, and that is pretty much all I need out of the 1B position.

13.10 Joe Ryan, SP MIN. SP were starting to get thin too, and this is the point of the draft where you have to start taking some chances on upside guys. Ryan has the stuff, and it really comes down to how many innings they give him.

14.07 Jorge Soler, OF MIA. After a few reaches with some upside guys and pitchers, I had to take best available here. That happened to be Soler, who disappointed last year because of his first half, but really turned it on in the second and into the playoffs. I'm hoping he continues that!

15.10 Paul Sewald, RP SEA. This is a pick I kinda wish I had back. There were still some decent SP in the current tier, namely Skubal, and I'm betting I could have gotten both Skubal and Sewald if I waited one round. Even so, Sewald was lights out last year and will get at least 10 saves in his committee. At 15th that's a pretty good deal.

6.04 Jesse Winker OF SEA
Another on a new team. Performed better at home, but still did well on the road. Strong OBP guy, got a good feeling that he can maintain those skills in a new ballpark.
Reynolds another OBP guy I was eyeing if he had slipped. I like both, happy with Winker!

7.13 Yoan Moncada 3B CWS
Read something about him wanting to steal more, has the speed to do it. Would like to see some pop return but not really counting on it. Grandal, Smith, Tatis, Witt all nice picks I would've liked to have considered for this queue.

8.04 Chris Bassitt SP NYM
Another on a new team. I feel like the Mets will find a way to mess it up, but they have a real nice looking squad. Bassitt seems to be growing into one of the better pitchers around. Manoah, Kershaw, Rodgers, McMahon, Contreras were on the radar at this time as well.

9.13 Ty France 2B SEA
Suzuki, Gurriel Jr nice picks I would have liked. Had Gallegos on the radar for joining the closer lottery. Wanted Cease to slip, almost made it. Had a lot of MI queued after the last pick. France was the lone survivor. For someone qualifying at MI, this guy has put up some good numbers and I don't see any reason he can't come close to last year. I'll take that at this point.

10.04 Brandon Nimmo OF NYM
Knebel would have been nice, maybe should have went him with the 9th. McClanahan and Rogers nice picks. Picks flew this time around, didn't readjust the queue. Really like Nimmo for an OBP league. Just needs to stay on the field. Durable guys break down and breakable guys have healthy seasons, impossible to predict. Roll the dice!

11.13 Alejandro Kirk C TOR
We're far enough in that I am very comfortable reaching big. Adell was a very nice pick, would have liked to bump ahead of Nimmo on my queue in hindsight. Kirk just looks so comfortable in the batter's box. Every other catcher I was looking at was gone. Didn't wanna risk letting Kirk slip by. The Grichuk trade seems to open up a bit more DH at bats for Kirk. The way he is hitting to start spring seems like they will find a way to get him in the lineup more than backup catcher.

12.04 Dylan Carlson OF STL
Should be batting near some pretty strong bats in the lineup and might even be ready to improve on last season's fine showing.
Generally like to have 8 bats, 2 arms after 10 picks, then get in on a closer or another arm by now, but had been eyeing Carlson for awhile, kept him high on the queue. Not liking the closer options yet, some nice darkhorses remain.

13.13 Julio Rodriguez OF SEA
The luckiest pick of the draft. This guy is gonna be good. Will it be this year? Letting him play CF to fit him in the lineup speeds things up. I'm ready to give him a try. Was looking at Garver as well, to handcuff with Kirk.

14.04 Ken Giles RP SEA
Gilbert a real nice pick that I was eyeing for awhile but didn't quite make the top of my queue. Giles a huge wild card, but seems like the kinda guy a manager will let close as long as he is healthy. Already battling injury, woops. Season is long, still some hope, ideally getting Sewald and Castillo was looking tempting as the relief pool dwindled.

15.13 Craig Kimbrel RP CWS
Just the strikeouts and ratios had me wishing I picked Kimbrel over Giles. No way I thought he'd survive. Woohoo! Trade to LAD to have a closer shot after the fact?! Jackpot!
Figured he'd snake some decent wins out of the 8th and get a dozen saves when the CWS went on winning streaks against their division. Elite team closer role is a major bonus.
14filthy

16.04 Jake McGee RP SF
Backup to Kimbrel on my queue was McGee. Logic and signs say that he lost the job, but the manager days before this pick said McGee is likely the guy. Worth a shot round 16. Some names falling from lower in my queue include Gurriel, Sewald, Skubal, Luzardo.
Sandoval a nice pick from off my radar.

17.13 Diego Castillo RP SEA
Still need more tickets to the closer lottery. Didn't get Sewald, still want Castillo. Some others falling from my queue that I might have liked McNeil, Biggio, Grichuk, Lux, Brantley, Baz. From off my radar Mckenzie, Means, Pollock are nice looking picks to me. More SP, MI, closer lottery and a C handcuff on the shopping list at this point.

18.04 Connor Joe OF COL
Can't resist a Rockie. Not really a need but I'm sure one of my first options will let me down, nice to have depth with some decent upside.
Had been looking at Frazier, got a bit too heavy on the Mariners perhaps. Should really look at arms.

19.13 Jon Gray SP TEX
Wanted to bump him to the top last time. Not all pitchers that leave Coors do better, so I'm hesitant, but he is a big K guy so I think it's worth a shot, especially 19th round.
Was eyeing Bart. Carrasco a pick I like that I should have been considering previously. Liking Gray's chances to turn some heads outside of Coors. Hoping he adjusts faster than Ubaldo, better than Chatwood!

20.04 Nicky Lopez MI KC
Not sure how he got to the top of my queue. Feeling like some speed that doesn't tank the ratios and qualifies at MI just stands out by round 20. Had been eyeing Brujan for rounds but kept slipping him down. Really needed MI but still feeling like there's a need for MI, Lopez not exactly the answer. Kelly, Davis, Smith all would've felt better even if they didn't fit the need as much.
15filthy

21.13 Chris Stratton RP PIT
The guy that was getting saves to end the year might get some again. Or wins again, he got 7 last year?! And saved 8. Pirates only won 61. MVP!!
I don't see this ticket paying off but I'll give it a week or two.

22.04 Mitch Keller SP PIT
Kemp another longshot MI that I was looking at swiped from the queue. I had Keller above. Almost went with him for a few rounds now. Decent reports and showings this spring. Not gonna have a long leash here either. Longoria a nice pick, I mostly need arm, MI or C at this point.

23.13 Santiago Espinal MI TOR
Guy's a gamer, had a strong OBP last year, seems like a natural ballplayer. Excited to see him emerge. Added bulk and been training a lot with Bichette, good signs. Has a chance to get in a lot of ABs backing up 2B, 3B, SS this year. Nice platoon with Lopez on my team, I like the fit. Leash a bit longer on this gamble. Zunino and Sanchez both catchers were higher on the queue, didn't slip. Yimi Garcia, Margot, Senzel a few from off radar that I liked.

24.04 Nate Pearson P TOR
The part of the draft where I just put Blue Jays in my queue. Still not sure where he'll slot, the depth seems like he'll go to RP to start the year. May slide in SP at AAA to be injury insurance. He is throwing better, seems healthy, should be a weapon soon enough. Marco Gonzalez one from off radar that I like at the turn here.

25.13 Yusei Kikuchi SP TOR
Wanted Art Warren to slip, watched him for too long. Miller a great pick from off radar, still finding myself impressed this late. Was looking at Lane Thomas too. Sean Murphy a bit. Kinda felt like I never liked the catcher handcuff enough to move them high enough on my queue. Grab one with my 26th spot or wait for one of my short leashes to frustrate me and grab the first hot catcher on the waiver wire. Maybe Kirk will just do the trick all year. Kikuchi makes a decent wild card to round out my staff. Strong K numbers and had that really strong first half. Shows flashes of being impressive, might be able to catch lightning with one of these last 3 starters.

16.14 Mike Moustakas, CI, CIN
Just seeking a starting player at this point. With all of the departures from Cincinnati, Moose appears to have at-bats at 3b and DH in a homer-friendly ballpark.

Disappointed to see Luzardo and Pham go this turn.

17.03 Ian Happ, OF, CHC
Happ is pretty underrated. Nice power and should be good for plenty of counting stats. He is only my 3rd outfielder, but I had invested fairly early in rounds 1 and 7 so this is fine.

18.14 Carlos Carrasco, SP, NYM
SNIPED! Wanted DeSclafani, who was a HUGE steal for Dave R. I am hoping that Carrasco can pitch 140 good innings for a loaded Mets team. It's a longshot for sure, but as decent a longshot as most of the SP going here.

19.03 Ramon Laureano, OF, OAK
Suspended for 27 more games for PED, but literally one of the last men standing in Oakland, so will get all of the AB he can handle in a prime spot in the lineup. Adds some needed late speed after not addressing it since Ohtani and Story.

I loved Alex Cobb who went between my picks. Bummer.

20.14 Zack Greinke, SP, KC
Carrasco and Greinke were late targets for me....although honestly, in looking back I should really be looking at upside young guys like Hunter Greene, Garrett Whitlock and Aaron Ashby instead of these old retreads. A weakness of mine.

But, if I am lucky one of the two of them will turn into a 2021 Adam Wainwright. If not, STREAM TIME BABY!

21.03 Christian Walker, 1b, ARI
My draft fatigue was setting in.....have 5 drafts going at once and have been traveling, so honestly my queue from here on out is weak. Walker is a guy who had a bad 2021, but with Arizona's lineup pretty weak, they could use all the power he has. He gives me some backup CI and a UT when Ohtani has days off.

22.14 Nick Senzel, 2b/OF, CIN
I am a sucker for former top prospects. Senzel always gets hurt, but with Cincinnati's depleted lineup, again he should get plenty of AB and has the potential of a 20/15 type of season. 2b eligibility in Yahoo is a ridiculous nice bonus.

23.04 Jorge Mateo, 2b/SS/OF, BAL
Another former top prospect fallen on much harder times than Senzel. This is a shot in the dark, but he's been hot this spring and battling for the Orioles' starting SS gig. I liken him to a 2019 Jonathan Villar -- if he gets the AB he has a chance at a sneaky good season as a guy on a bad team who accumulate counting stats with huge SB potential.

Or, he's amongst my first cuts.

24.14 Art Warren, RP, CIN
Dart throw at the Reds bullpen. An up and comer but the Reds could prefer more veteran presence as their closer - be it someone like Strickland or just waiting on Sims.

25.03 Andres Munoz, RP, SEA
Dark throw at the Mariners bullpen. An up and comer but the Mariners could prefer more veteran presense as their closer - be it someone like Sewald, Steckenrider or Castillo or just waiting on Giles.

16.07 Bailey Ober, SP MIN. To be honest, I had never heard of this guy before this spring, but he put up some decent numbers last year and in the minors, and seems to have a rotation spot locked down in MIN. Now I have a nice little 1-2 of Twins starters. As I said in my Sewald post, I wouldve rather taken Skubal in the previous round and taken my chances on Sewald getting back to me here.

17.10 Andrew Vaughn, 1B CHW. I was really scrambling for a CI/1B, it seemed like the entire draft. I figured out that there was one team that mysteriously took four 1B in the draft PLUS a UT only player, and all but the last 1B would be an everyday player, so ?. Anyway, Vaughn is a guy who plays 1B and seems to be able to walk and stuff.

18.07 Jose Urquidy, SP HOU. I liked what was available pitching-wise more than hitting-wise here, so went with my 5th SP. Urquidy is simply solid, and should not be a problem.

19.10 Andrew McCutchen, OF MIL. This is a spot I needed again to take a best available, and this was McCutchen. He just gets the job done year after year. This year he should be mostly a DH which might save his old legs a little. When Acuna is back I will one of the best OF's out there, I think.

20.07 Carson Kelly, C ARI. This mightve been a bit of a reach here, but I wanted to take care of C with the guy I wanted and not chance it for another round. Kelly is a solid hitter and I'm hoping he gets more than 300 AB's this year.

21.10 Lucas Sims, RP CIN. Sims is currently hurt, but it doesn't seem too serious. He's probably the best reliever left in the CIN bullpen, so eventually he will get the 9th, is what I'm thinking. I just have to be patient with these guys, even if it takes a couple months, because I'm never gonna be fast enough to jump on guys who newly get a closing job.

22.07 David Fletcher, SS, LAA. I really really wanted Ramon Urias here, but somebody beat me to him in the previous round. Fletcher is not a great hitter, but he can steal a base or two, and he only will have to play a month or so, hopefully, until Cruz gets called up.

23.10 Corey Kluber, SP TB. This was my spot to take my 6th starter. In the past I ran 5SP/6RP, but that is simply not possible anymore with the limited innings starters pitch these days. I was really hoping Quantrill would get back to me, but sniped just before my pick. Kluber - not really sure what he's going to give this year. Can he find his old form again? It's certainly worth taking a chance on in the 23rd round.

24.07 Brad Miller, IF/OF TEX. Miller, if nothing else, can hit right handers REALLY well, so he's always going to have a job and enough AB's to be interesting. I needed someone who could play CI/OF to help fill in for Vaughn if he couldn't make it back, and/or Acuna. He's probably worth starting whenever he's in the lineup against a righty.

25.10 Tyler Matzek, RP ATL. The bullpen hero of the playoffs for the Braves, I had to take him just as part of my thanks for delivering Braves Country a World Series title. I'm a bit worried about his playoff workload and how it will affect him this year.

If there are no more individual rationales anyone would like to share, we can move on to overall draft summaries.

You may use the questions below as a guide, or simply say what you want to say.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

2. What were your favorite picks? What picks would you like to do over?

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

5. If you could start the whole thing over, would you do anything differently?

You're welcome to mix and match at this point - whatever you'd like to do.
