I remember last year there was a downloadable spreadsheet (I think it was Richard's) that could tabulate all kinds of stats for a SW team. Is it still available somewhere? Thanks

Richard
I was looking for the old thread and saw this first. Can you give us an update on the new version? The old one was working fine earlier in the week but no more, alas.

The change came because ESPN has changed their boxscores and layouts, FYI.
If you have already modified the SWP producing column, here are the changes I maed on my version of Richard's spreadsheet. Now I have modified his original many, many times, so I hope these are all the same lines you guys have:
In the ReadEspnScoreboard() macro:
Change: Workbooks.Open Filename:="http://espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard" To: Workbooks.Open Filename:="http://baseball.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard"
Change: Range("G" & i + 1).Value = "http://espn.go.com" & links(i) To: Range("G" & i + 1).Value = "http://baseball.espn.go.com" & links(i)
In the ReadBoxScore(url As String) macro:
Change all instances of: team = c.Offset(0, -1) To: team = c.Offset(-1, -1)
There should be 4 occurances of the last one IIRC.
I think those are the only lines I changed. Good Luck. One last note, this is if you are using Excel 97. I have not tested if this corrects Excel 2000, as I don't use that clunky piece of junk.
I don't see the second batch of lines in my code anywhere. Could someone please post a working version in either '97 or 2k format? Much thanks

I just dled the spreadsheet by filtering threads submitted by Richard, third one from top. This is for Microsoft Excel 2000. What changes need to be made so that it will work? As of now, the SWP and the Rosters don't work, but it gets the scores OK.
For everyones information, these two lines of code do not work for Excel 2000. If anyone does happen to have a working spreadsheet for 2000 and could post a link, or send it to my email address, it would be greatly appreciated!

Ooops, Richard already posted a new version under a different thread, sorry...
Man, what the hell was I thinking when I posted that message. There were a bunch of other mods. Sheesh. I'll post up an Excel 97 version just as soon as I verify the numbers it puts out. It will be just the basics (gets you the SWPs). I'll leave it up until Richard releases something better.
I tried the link like 30 times so far tonite, and notta. Could you possibly send it to my email address. Thanks a lot!

I tried using Richard's just a few minutes ago and got a runtime error. It got the full game scores, but not the SWP. On the rosters, it said the roster numbers I put in were invalid. I double checked them against the numbers from smallworld and I feel comfortable that I had the right numbers in there. I'm using Excel 2000.

Just grabbed it first try.
Aperfect10, I'd email it to you myself, but am having email problems lately. If I get around them I'll shoot you a copy. I should be able to do it from school in the morning if you don't get it before then.
I am also interested in getting my hands on a copy of this year's version of the spreadsheet. I tried clicking on the link, but it said "GO.com cannot answer your information request." I am using Excel 2000. Thanks to anyone who can provide me with this file!
Can anyone download them from either link? If so, what OS/Browser are you using? I really need a different place to store my stuff.

Same thing RSF:
A message to GO.com users: * We're sorry for the inconvenience, but at the moment, the GO.com cannot answer your information request. Suggestions:
Wait a few moments and reload the page. You can do this in one of the following ways: Hit the Reload or Refresh button on your browser.
If you are using a Lynx browser (a text-based browser), press Ctrl-R.
This will request the information from our service again. You should get a response within several seconds. If you do not get a response within several seconds, we are probably experiencing a system problem.
Try again later today.
This is a temporary* situation. Thank you for your patience!
RSF, I'm using Win 2000. I tried with IE5.0 and Netscape 6 and neither worked. If we can't get the file via your homepage, could someone email it to me? Thanks a ton!

RSF, if you like, I can drop the zip file on Gleem and give you a link that will always work. Just let me know and I can set it up before tomorrow afternoon.

I hate to be dense, but is there an instruction set somewhere? Its not immediately clear where to input my rosters.
Is it like the BaseBall rosters sheet, where I just put in a team number, and the macros do the rest, or do I need to key my teams?
Thanks for the help. I appreciate all the hard work poured into these tools, as well as the willingness to share w/ the SW community.

Put the team id #'s in Row 1. Put the team name in Row 2. In cell A27 there is a button named "Grab Rosters". click it and the macro's do the rest. Hope that helps.

AP10 - Thanks for the info. Those instructions are for the baseball rosters sheet. What about the Get scores sheet?
Analogkid, Sorry bout that, for the getscores sheets, the vs. working for this year doesnt work with your team. It just gets HITTERS/PITCHER SWP's, and lists them. No roster, atleast i dont think. Or if there is a newer vs. working, i'd appreciate if someone could get it to me :)

In my Get Rosters spreadsheet for some reason it is not getting the SWD change and the Total SWD for the players properly (i.e. the last two numbers after the players name). Is there a new version out there that I don't know about or is everyone else having this problem?

Hmmm...can't seem to download the spreadsheet. Are there any other links?
