0 Subject: OT: Play this game you will be amazed!!

ok, i was listening to ESPN.com radio last night around 2, and they mentioned a site called smalltime.com that has a game call "Guess the dictator and/or television sit-com character." This is amazing, you just pick a dictator or sit-com character, then answer a series of questions and it will guess who you choose. try it, it's fun, and quite amazing.

I was utterly dismayed when I filled it out for myself, and it didn't pick me as Cletis... It pegged me for Raymond also.

I stumped it yesterday with Gus, Chris Elliot's landlord in 'Get a Life' -- back to the old favorites. I did it twice in case I was wrong - I couldn't remeber if he was bald or not.

As Granny, I had to confess that I liked opussum stew and I thought the game was up. However the questions continued, and the computer eventually guessed I was Martha Stewart! Bad day for it.

It won with my choice as Kramer and as JD on Scrubs. However, I did beat it with the Hologram Doctor on Star Trek Voyager.
What a cool site...

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley? Well, some people do think that the WWF is a Sit-Com, but it's mostly people who can't read the instructions on the site.

Unfortunately, the output of the database is only as good as the input or the "players" and every time someone "plays" as a non-Sit-Com character or non-Dictator and then beat the database and then add the name and question to the database it just further deteriorates the integrity of the output data. This is why non-Sit-Com characters are hit-and-miss while "playing" as a Sit-Com character or Dictator, like the instructions state, will almost guarantee your defeat.

It would be best if the person/people who run the site would review the submissions of people who beat the database and maintain a separate database of non-Sit-Com characters that were rejected so that it would reject the submissions of those characters in the future and maintain the highest integrity of the data.

This is one of the funniest sites I've ever seen. I thought I had stumped it with Augusto Pinochet, but after reading this thread and the extensiveness of its database, I figured I answered a question wrong. After going back again and again, I got it to spit out Pinochet. "Are you smarter than your siblings?" Well, none of my siblings overthrew a head of state, so I would think so. "Do you have a moustache?" That's a damn good question.

102 people had used "the other Darryl" from The Newhart Show.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but this damn thing called me Charles from Charles in Charge, which is my first name and an formerly annoying taunt from the comically challenged.

On the upside, it also determined that I'm Ally McBeal. So, without further ado, I am going to go get naked, stand in front of a mirror with a buffet table at my side and eat until I start to grow breasts. Adios.

Stumped it with "Grandmother Kim" from All-American Girl. Television's disasterous mistake that set back Asian-American actors for a good five years.

#152, Good one Zen! I think that's the best shot you have is to use a short-lived Sit-Com that most people didn't even know existed.

Its not too bad for movies or TV shows, just a little slow. Takes too many questions to find the right answer, I'll give you that. But these things supposedly become "smarter" as time goes on, so maybe it'll become better later.

It wasn't easy, but I won this time. You are player number 22 to have chosen Benjamin Cisco from Star Treck Deep Space Nine. Benjamin Cisco from Star Treck Deep Space Nine was a tough one, but I've had a lot of practice. Thanks for giving me something to do. Please visit again soon.

Looks like it doesn't have to be sitcoms. Sci-fi works just fine.

PGunn...you must have answered a question wrong if you stumped it with Potsie "You are player number 24 to pick Potsy Weber from Happy Days, and what a clever choice it was! You almost had me for a while, but you let your guard down. Don't worry, it happens to all of us sooner or later. Please play again, and next time I'll be ready for you, Potsy Weber from Happy Days."

When answering questions only choose YES if the obvious answer is YES...pick NO if you have any doubt and you will get the right answer more often.

TLW...I am sure Picard has been chosen more than 8 times it is just that there can be multiple end points for the same character. You just went down a path less traveled. In fact..."Well, I win this round. You are player number 96 to pick captain jean luc piccard from star trek (tng), and what a clever choice it was! You almost had me for a while, but you let your guard down. Don't worry, it happens to all of us sooner or later. Please play again, and next time I'll be ready for you, captain jean luc piccard from star trek (tng)."
