Subject: Nominations/Voting for new Guru Jr is now open

It's amazing how fast time flies when you are Guru, Jr. I've enjoyed the honor, but it's now time to seriously think about our next Guru Jr.
Enter your votes, with comments to justify your nominations if you desire.
If I remember correctly, and that's getting to be a big assumption as I get older, the previous Guru Jrs for this year have been philliephan, Madman, KrazyKoalaBears, RecycledSpinalFluid, and myself. These honored folks are ineligible for this week's honor and votes for any or all of these will be declared null and void.
I'll announce the winner on Friday morning, around noon (EDT) unless, of course, my vote counting gets interrupted or delayed by SW-like problems;-)

Cashmere for his weekly updates of most commonly held players.
Very valuable for watching what is going on.

Cashmere, I think that the most widely held player info is of extreme value. Don't leave home or trade players without it.
Thanks Buddy, hope you win

You can't spell "gurupie standings" or "movers & shakers" without J. Honorable mention and thanks also to philflyboy.

Ok, it appears as if J is gonna run away with this thing, but I would like to give my first ever vote to azdbacker. He showed true dedication to the game the last couple of nights by giving us 30 innings of play-by-play for the two marathon D-back games. It may not be as important fantasy-wise as J's or Cashmere's contribution, but to me that's what this forum is all about.

While there are a lot of deserving folks, and J is very high on that list due his dedication in running the standings each day, I'm going to cast my vote with for Dr Doom. He has been very active and innovative over on the Golf Forum and has impressed me a lot with his innovative use of html when presenting information. It takes a big effort to impress me, and Dr Doom, you have impressed me. Good work.

Since we cannot vote for Madman for his "Ryan ..." piece and I cannot vote Left Wings for falling for it.
It must be j for depressing me every morning by publishing the latest talley of how far I have fallen.
Philflyboy deserves an honorable mention because his name is frequently listed on the talley posts.
Now if I can just gain enough self control to wait for Cashmere's commonly held players before making trades....

I'm pleased that some of you have enjoyed my contributions to the forum lately, but it comes nowhere near what J has done for these boards as long as I've been coming here. Not in the same ballpark, not even in the same league. But a genuine thanks for the kind thoughts. :)

BIG RUSS - FSU was hosting a softball regional a few weekends ago & Gary was there - he was keeping score - the old fashioned way - I thought that was neat. Wasn't wearing his ring though. He walked right past me. If it wasn't pouring down rain, I was about to ask for an autograph, but, well, I thought better of it.
Kimmy Carter played well, but it wasn't enough for FSU to beat Cal and make it to the CWS.
As for voting, I'm going with sludge he was incredibly helpful getting the standings ready for baseball!!!!

J's team just passed me in the World's Greatest Division, so I was tempted to vote for him. But I am voting based on rock-solid Guru-like contributions, and nothing else.
