0 Subject: Time to Vote For the Next Guru, Jr.

Well, its been a great week, not quite over yet, but its time to get to voting.

To recap the criteria, the next Guru Jr. must:

Show signs of Guru-like tendencies, which include, but aren't limited to: statistical support, answering questions, and just being all-around good for the prosperity of this forum. The nominee can also show a sense of humor that makes this forum more enjoyable during hard times. You have been automatically eliminated if you have started a thread with the word "Pujols" in it.

The winner gets the nametag for the week and the honor of choosing the Guru Jr. the following week based on nominations.

The previous Guru Jr's for this year have been philliephan, Madman, KrazyKoalaBears, RecycledSpinalFluid, Richard, and myself.

So, who's next? Tough choice!

Some that come to mind: Cashmere, Sludge, Philflyboy, blue hen (of course) amongst others.

So, lets get things kick started. Voting ends at 9am Friday.

Dr. Doom? I'm sure his Golf Forum stuff is tremendous. That being said, this is the Baseball Forum. He has posted once on this forum all season long.

Cashmere would be my next choice, but one post a week does not a Guru Jr make. (A great thread it is, though)

Me? 100 posts in a thread does not a Guru Jr make, either.

Maybe I'm out of bounds and actually it's not to me a biggie but since I started hanging around here (very good site BTW for SW) I assumed the Guru Jr. was for the forum posting such.

A posting in the golf forum brought all the golfers over here.

I agree with azdbacker and there should be a recount. :}>

      Wed, Jun 06, 23:05 		I agree that guru jr. has been strictly a baseball thing in the past, but as someone who peruses multiple forums I can say that Dr. Doom certainly is worthy of recognition. His contributions are awesome. How do we get him to join SW baseball is the question I have. My vote has previously been cast so this is just a commentary.

The only one I missed was my wife - once she has her mind made up there is no convincing her otherwise. You should try the same thing. It just might work;-)

Dr. Doom is a GOD,IF you play golf and/or Nascar ,but it is presumptuous to even consider a nomination for baseball,when he isn't playing.Different games,different gurupies different standards.Shum mishtake shurely by golfing gurupies ,as Dr.D has acknowledged.Now I'll go back to a low profile in The Belly.

It is General Election day here in the UK,and since I was too tied up to vote,I'm venting my frustrations with democracy here.PFB gives me far more pleasure than The Very Reverend Blair,as does The Guru and all previous Guru Jnr's
